Jollibee Southcenter near Seattle. Good prices on the burgers, and it's pretty true to what I remember when I was in the Philippines, but the taste was a bit disappointing, like really generic fast food. Fried chicken is really good though.
7.5/10

when I think of fresh tuna, it's usually the picture below and not the pictures above. I've tasted the differences and the pics below are way better. just my 2 cents. | The tuna in the first pic looks like Big Eye Tuna. The second pic looks like Yellowfin Tuna. Both look very fresh. The tuna in Halogodv2's pic is Albacore Tuna, and looks to be fresh, but the picture quality is kinda bad.

Awesome. I SO want a sous vide machine, but home units are still quite expensive.

went to BT cafe the other day as per alphamale's review...
tasty and large portions for what you pay for, drinks are decent. 8.5/10
the location isn't the greatest for me since its relatively deep into kingsway, vancouver side (for anyone who lives as far as Burnaby/Coquitlam etc.), and doesn't seem like they get much business around dinner-time because of all the competition they have in the area
otherwise, give it a try. i'd recommend these guys for a cheap and decent meal if you're ever in the neighbourhood

Cattle Cafe sucks dank as per Alphamale's review and nothing really comes to mind otherwise.
I was there on several occasions and this place was packed to the brim. The only other "competition" that comes to mind is Ken's just down the street but even then, the food there is subpar.
One thing BT Cafe needs to work on are their drinks. They are kinda "blah."

theres the new sous vide supreme "demi" out now thats $299 which is nice too.
i actually made a make shift sous vide.
set up a double boiler, filled both with hot tap water, and used a candy thermometer. once i got the heat perfect (around level 3 on an electric stove, 130-135F), i just had to make small adjustments using ice cubes.
it took an hour but surprisingly little heat manipulation needed.
