ebisu on robson
ordered green tea which cost money... waitress gave it to the wrong table right beside ours. The other table was shocked about free tea and the waitress was an idiot for not memorizing who freaken ordered green tea. The worst part is that the waitress actually took back the 3 cups of tea from the other table because of it costs money.. My table was shocked to see the 3 cups taken back half full! what the fuck are they doing to do with used green tea?? Such a waste.. greedy bitches give wrong order and throw away USED tea.
Messed up a few orders from other tables.. came to ours.. wtf?!?
softshell crab was good and rest are meh.. not that great as I expected. I rather go to The guu
game here lots of time.. but would I come here again? Probably not. Heck even Ebisu on richmond is crap. Stay away with a 9 kilometer stick imo
6/10

tropika on cambie 5.5/10
just went there to make use of my entertainment book.
buy one dinner combo get one free.
was just craving the flavors, but the food was pretty horrible. the only acceptable things were the prawns and the chicken skewers. the chicken (non skewers) was more dry than kfc on a bad day, and the stir fry was inedible. wouldnt go back even if i had another 2 for 1 coupon. shoulda just went to hawkers instead. woulda paid less and had an easy 7/10 meal.

7/10 | That pretty much sums it up. Cheap and good service. Food is okay, drinks are not. Main thing is just convenience factor.

Compared to most HK style cafes, their food is unique. While they retain the typical touch of HK style dishes, they seem to add a bit of zaz. Their ingredients used are far better.
Drinks have a long way to go.

Seriously. It's soooo effing good. I don't even care. | You can organize a meet, but bcr wont show up. Which will lead to a disappointing score out of 10 for Antons.

I would rather go to Les Faux Bourgeois Bistro more often as the plates range from $15-$20 and its a lot more casual with plates tasting just as good as Crocodile.

I went to LFB a month ago, i would say its good food for the price you pay, i guess you can give it 9/10 or 10/10 if you want, if its for value wise. But in order to not mislead ppl i would say the food is about a 7.5 compared to le crocodile at a solid 9 if price isn't part of the rating.
edit: i wouldnt say the food of LFB is just as good as crocodile, for example I had the tenderloin and hanger steak at LFB, and the meat quality and taste is definitely 1 grade lower than what crocodile uses.

Just asked if I have gone there or not lol. I would rate Le Crocodile a 10/10 too.
I would visit Crocodile again don't get me wrong, but the quality of taste over LFB isn't that much greater in my opinion. They're quite close; as you said again, only one grade lower (Meat quality). Would I pay double or almost triple for that extra grade in the taste of meat which I almost cannot tell? Probably not. But as for yourself, you have an excellent palate my friend.
Taste wise; both are very high up there and I wouldn't put one on top of the other. Both are superb restaurants and I would visit over and over again. I highly suggest others to try both, not just one.
Touche?
