i'm flying into cancun next week. anyone ever done a private hotel transfer as opposed to the group ones (hiring an SUV or van as opposed to sitting on a bus with everyone else). our trip is about an hour and half, so i think it would be worth it to hire a private transfer. can anyone recommend a company that does this... are there companies that can be hired upon arrival?

www.Cancuntransfers.com ... it was $55 for a round trip in the hotel district and they were nice and professional. They'll have a sign either for the company or with your name (I think it was name) when you exit the airport and will grab you before all the taxi drivers try to molest you.

Price might be a little higher if you're 1.5 hours out of Cancun.

^ your travel agent/rep @ the resort usually has a morning meeting the day after you arrive, in that meeting he/she usually gives out info and recommendations for atv tours or city tours and all that. I rented jet ski's @ the watersports area at my resorts I've stayed at, around $65/person(with a passenger, the gf). Every place gonna be different though.

I'm going to Cancun July 31-Aug 6.

Has anyone been in or around November? Wondering how the mosquito situation is during that time of year. Last time I went was during a February and there were none at that time, not sure about the other seasons though.

Awesome thanks for the tip I'll keep that in mind. Was considering the price difference of riu caribe and riu cancun but went for the cheaper one instead. I'll make sure to look out for the outdoor pizza!

Haha nice. What's the party hotel? Read some reviews on Caribe and some said the partying was all day at this place.

Bumping an old thread, but i will be going to Cancun on Oct 20 with the wife for a week, and was wondering what sort of things we should go and experience as this is our first trip together.
