I'm actually looking at importing a Ferrari and using T plate. Any experiences? I know some ppl who can do it but I'd rather save 300K and do it myself.

just get a shipping company and ship it to hk and pick it up at the port with your T-plate
your car don't get taxed until its been registered.

to research, fly both ways and get it shipped is peanuts compared to 300K your mate is going to charge you. shipping is at most 1000 - 2000 CDN for a container that's good for up to 4 vehicles. On HK side I'm not sure if the government will charge you tax during import but my guess is no because you haven't registered it yet and "commidity" other than cars for registration are basically free-for-all in HK.
So do some research and take a relaxing Euro holiday and come home with a nice Ferrari is what I suggest you do.
