wow mustangs and hummers in HK :lol |
Um... What was the point? Well.. I should put it this way. China has much better and expensive cars than HK. The only think Hong Kong is better is where the JDM cars come to play. China has strict import laws. So in that way, Hong Kong has more freedom and as a result more JDM cars than China. But when it comes to European expensive cars, Hong Kong stands no chance. |

i did my own little hk cars too... but it was only 2 weeks, not 2 years http://www.revscene.net/forums/showthread.php?t=527319 |
^ yes, you get tax 35% if the price of the vehicle is under $19230cdn anything above is 100% (or 120% can't remember). A mercedes C200 base is like 54,000cdn after tax. :D That's why hongers like to drive fancy cars. |

how can you tell? I can only see her legs clearly, and they aren't bad :ratedb: |
Currently yes, but it will be equalized in about 3 years. In the end, it is not much about the difference in the demand side, but the supply side. The supply for LHD is way larger than RHD. There have been quite a few car exporters who specializes in exporting to China popping up in Oregeon/California area. With USD so low, it is a viable business. Of course you can't count the supercars of the 90s or early 2000s.. there are definitley more of those in HK.. Having said that, quite a few Ferrari's registered in HK actually spend most of their time stored in China. I think 80% of the cars in the storage facility where we store our MC12 are Ferraris from HK. HK will always have the highest concentration of exotic cars / sq km.. (eg I think 15 or so of the 50 MC12s are in HK) over Monaco because HK have so much more people.. but in terms of pure numbers China will win, eventually. Like it or not as HK and China gets more integrated, more exotics in HK will leave their air conditioned cocoons and move to China, where there are plenty of track and fuel additives.. I would say the movement will be brownian motion since one can never quite predict when they will move over! Quote:
