full coverage, including all the buttons except the vibrate. Headphone plug is wide enough for me to use most of my headphones. Comes with a clear plastic to cover the apple logo as that portion of the case is cut open. Overall, other than the Agent 18 cases, this is probably the best i've had for the iphones.

Anyone else experiencing horrible reception with 3.1.2 baseband? I made the mistake of flashing both firmware and baseband to the newest :(

I'm using a custom firmware on mine. No need to unlock. Blackra!n used to crash my phone. I'll reflash once 3.1.3 comes out

Did you use blacksn0w? I heard that causes wifi issues.

my sister wants an Iphone.. shes on 3 year contract with rogers and just got a new phone earlier this year.. but she really wants an iphone so we gotta find a way to get her it. (spoiled brat). now im thinking, buy a used one off craigslist then upgrade to a data plan.. would that work?

no reason why it wouldn't. Just make sure the iphone is a rogers one, or an unlocked one.

I have a simple question. I'm quite familiar with jailbreaking and unlocked my gf's iphone for her.. But after you unlock will or can it be locked again? Or is something in the baseband or whatever changed.

The phone can be locked again if you upgrade the firmware to the next official one. For example, if you had firmware 3.0 and did a firmware upgrade through iTunes to 3.1.2, the phone would be locked again until you jailbreak and unlock it again

if he gets an iphone 3gs from the later part of this year, he's gonna run into a tethered jailbreak isn't he?

Yeah I heard the new bootloader will require tethered jailbreak. Just need to re-jailbreak only if he reboots the phone.

I'd be leaning towards just the 3g just because of the easier jailbreak...but the 3gs does have a faster cpu hands down.

for the tethered JB guys. carry a copy of Blackra1n with you on a USB keychain. if you ever need to reboot. run into a Futureshop and plug in there run BR and GTFO. :)

that doesn't mean that she will never run outta power on the road or the phone fks (crashes/hangs) up and needs to be restarted.

teathered Jailbreak, meaning you cannot reboot without having to run blackra1n every time.

if you use your phone queit extensively, than the 3gs is the way to go. the tetherde jailbreak has not affected my use of the phone in ANY WAY given that i charge it every night. I use the phone lika computer anyways, and there is no way it would last two days without a charge
