i downloaded an app on apptrackr using my pc but the file does not come in .ipa format. i would assume i need to ssh the .zip file into installous and let it install from there. but where do i put it?

Use winRar and changed the file name from .zip to .ipa

anyone know how too get final fantasy working on a iphone. when i loaded it up i get black screen and back too my menu

try downloading again via wifi. 3g has a size limit on downloads unless u buy the 3g unrestrictor app from cydia. like $2 i think

i did download off wifi installed it open black screen and it closes

if u dl from installous go to settings and select dirty install method then reinstall the game should work after that

Could I get a quick answer about voip? I'm using fido now, would they charge me if I skype to US with wifi? I'm thinking no, but I rather confirm first. Better safe than sorry.

what firmware u using? maybe not supported?

if you are [b]sure[b] your data is blocked, there's no way they can charge you. voip is the same as surfing the net (via wifi) on your mobile. you pay for the VOIP service, not cellular.

shit, i've got a 3.1.2 iphone 3gs it won't get passed the apple logo when you boot it up. i read that i should just do a restore, but apparently all restores require an update? i'm not getting 3.1.3, fuck that. is there no other way around this?

i don't know how to ssh, i know the simple blackrain only... please help me out. it's not a new iphone, i've had it for a couple long months now. i didn't have to tether jailbreak it before, i hope that isn't the only solution atm.

You don't need to use the latest. As long as you have the ipsw for an older version, you can install that. Just hold down the shift key and click on Restore and it will let you pick which ipsw you want to use.

I think I'll have to do the update to 3.1.3 and have a pos iPhone. I haven't updated my phone yet. It's still stuck on the apple logo, this happened yesterday as well after I was stuck with no service. Then my battery died, so I charged it waited a while and it was all back to normal. However, no dice today. :(

^ its true, if you have a 3G it can be jailbroken on 3.1.3, ive done it. from what i know of, theres currently no unlock available at this time. if you have the 3GS, DO NOT UPDATE TO 3.1.3 IF YOU EVER WANT TO JAILBREAK OR UNLOCK EVER AGAIN.

Yeah my phone pretty much bricked last time, I'm sure it was fixable just not to my knowledge. I'm glad I never updated lol.

Anyways if you guys use Rock, there's a firmware spoof that changes 312 to 313, recently released and free. It tricks iTunes so you don't gotta have that nagging update, I suggest downloading. It's still 312, and youre less likely to accidently update.

is there a way to revert my itunes back to 3.1.2? i updated to 3.1.3 by accident and i want to put new music onto my 3gs. Or does it not update your phone when you sync it?

unless you have your ECID stored with Cydia, no, there's nothing you can do at the moment.
