wat the map is not build into the phone and need data from online? does it have navigation software? if i get to keep my plan not a bad deal for the phone at all. Any news on whether their will be change to the data plans? 30$ for 6gb is garbage compare to the rest of the world still.... and the dataplan is it for iphone only or can i use it with my n95?

$30 for ATT is 5gb softcap, little did we know, all these "unlimited data" has a soft cap
so 6gb for hardcap is quite a bit
even with gps running wherever you go, its really really really hard to go over 6gb
not many ppl can do 2gb just surfing at home on a pc!

now the dataplan. Once i renew my 3 year contract with the dataplan i cannot get rid of it whenever i want? if i renew my contract with my old plan i can just add in the dataplan later if i feel the need? did i get the idea?

data plans have their own contract...the cancellation fee is $5 per month to a max of 100..
the $30/6gb of data will end aug31

teh same applies to the BB plan

the new iphone 3g is a huge dissapointment.... hopefully third party software will make up fir its limitation soon.

last question can i use the $30/6gb data plan with grey phones? 3g only or 2g too? I'm getting seeing mix answer of RFD and Hofo

i got tire of the first iphone in 3 months i'm expecting the same life expectancy for this new one i would like to use the data plan on any future phone i might get

You can load the maps into your iphone actually, but you need to use software to capture your own map from google map.
Then, upload the map into your iphone and use iLM to make the maps works in your iphone google map.
But the search function wont work, you have set the bookmark first.

so it seems customers who blocked their internet can still access internet and are currently being charged.. i guess that's why they made all those customers who didn't opt for a data plan sign a data waiver..

but i told them to turn my edge off and it is off, however my friend who requested the same can still use edge

well, for the 1st gen iphones you can get applications that allow you to turn off certain services (wifi, edge, SSH, etc...) I don't know if those work for 3g though.

like I said...it worked for me to just call in rogers to turn off edge. I turned push off too.

i just noticed that my iphone stats says my call timer is 5 days and 7 hours

the funny thing is i just got my phone this past friday and there was no way i was talking 5 days straight! and the phone was at zero when it started...

what gives??
