I just order the iphone should come before friday.
the roger rep told me all I need is the latest itune to unbrick the phone.
so I been reading that if you activate/update via itune, you would not be able to unlock it when the unlocking is available.
If thats true how should I activate the phone?
what are my options?
I want to jailbreak it, should I be using winpwn or a different program?
what are some must have apps for the iphone?

Any advice will be welcome

they just said that you won't be able to unlock it in the future because they are currently working on a 2.0 unlock... who knows when the 2.0.1 unlock will come out.

Where on the blackberry website is there a dl for msn? i have a bb curve. i dl a trial version of jivetalk but i dont really like it and im not sure on how much data it uses

Problem with that is that it will hold open your data connection and an open connection means battery drain.

And you know how crappy the battery life is with any 3G phone.

Just food for thought.

yeah same, i find myself wishing i had it for stuff like maps and checking scores (hockey, olympics). i pretty much know i won't need 6gb of data but at the same time, there's no way i'm paying rogers $15/mth for TWO fucking MB of data. if they put out a $10 1gb data plan, i'd be all over it, but the prices right now are absolute crap for poor university students like me.

unfortunately i doubt they'll make such a plan, since after august its going back to $30/400MB. hell i'd be down for $15/150MB even, i'd use it consciencely when i need it. i dont know what they were thinking with $15/2MB. seriously wtf

this is annoying... 3g is not working for me I got the data plan. I notice this after jailbreak but i didn't really test it before jailbreak. So i restore the phone and still couldn't connect to 3g....

just put the sim in my n95 and it can use edge all to access internet but when i pop it back into the iphone it doesn't work. i;ve restore it to 2.0.1 what the fuck is going ohn
