I just order the iphone should come before friday.
the roger rep told me all I need is the latest itune to unbrick the phone.
so I been reading that if you activate/update via itune, you would not be able to unlock it when the unlocking is available.
If thats true how should I activate the phone?
what are my options?
I want to jailbreak it, should I be using winpwn or a different program?
what are some must have apps for the iphone?
Any advice will be welcome
fyi I'm a total noob at this iphone hacking stuff

^ they will be able to unlock it eventually...
they just said that you won't be able to unlock it in the future because they are currently working on a 2.0 unlock... who knows when the 2.0.1 unlock will come out.

is data worth it?
i work 9-5... at home i have wifi... at work i sit on a laptop....
i'd only be using data when im out...
for you guys w/o data, how often do you guys find yourselves in situations where wish u had it?

And you know how crappy the battery life is with any 3G phone.

just got myself an iphone 3g baby. Love it so far except for the 1 dead picel i'm still comtemplating if it should return it...
anyways its on 2.0 right now. should i update it to 2.0.1 before attempting to jailbreak?

this is annoying... 3g is not working for me I got the data plan. I notice this after jailbreak but i didn't really test it before jailbreak. So i restore the phone and still couldn't connect to 3g....

just put the sim in my n95 and it can use edge all to access internet but when i pop it back into the iphone it doesn't work. i;ve restore it to 2.0.1 what the fuck is going ohn

does anyone know how to do a mass edit on contacts that were synched through exchange? i want to delete a ton of them, but dont want to go through the whole "select -> edit -> scroll -> delete -> confirm process each time.
