In the stock Map app that came with the phone, touch the bottom right corner and pick satellite or hybrid. I'm using hybrid and I like it :thumbsup:

To delete apps click and hold a random app until it shakes and there's an x on the corner, click the x n it'll be deleted. No x means u cannot delete

help....ringtones for iphone 3g
 

hi...i just got the iphone 3g and noticed that i can only tranfer songs over...but i cant put them choose any of them as my ringtone....i was wondering was there a trick to having songs as a ringtone? i tried using itunes to do it like it says in the iphone manual guide but so some reason it doesnt work or have some of the options the manual says....i would want to save my songs as ringtones...can anyone help me please? thanks

then chose itune as your auto opening program while you download it! you should be able to get some on (its kinda flukey)

but you can always jailbreak your iphone and use openSSH and do it from there

Check YouTube there's a video that shows you how make your songs as ur ring tone and all you need is iTunes, don't need jb at all

1.) Ringtone must be 40secs or less
2.) Convert to AAC
3.) Find the converted ringtone, rename from .m4a to .m4r
4.) Drag the new ringtone back into itunes/ringtone
5.) Sync

Is it true that the iPhone can only pair with other iPhones and not other phone brands?

ie iphone to blackberry = not possible

So I was talking to the Fido rep and he said that basically most of the features on the iPhone will charge you money other than phone and SMS. Even the camera. He said the only way to avoid this is to jailbreak the phone, which I have done. Now, if I use... say the maps app, will I still be charged money or will the GPS receiver have to problems on its own? Fill me in guys.

no the camera will not use data but some apps that are ad supported will. The best way to avoid any data is to get fido to blocked it for you.

Install Bosspref and turn off both edge and 3g, i don't remember if you can turn off gprs too but if you can turn it off and just leave wifi on.

Keep in mind some ad supported apps (especially jailbreak ones) might not work if you block off all the data and no wifi is in range.

No gurantees all your data will be block with the method so the best way is to get fido to block it
