Question for you guys/gals: I'm on itunes 8.0 and I just used videora to convert an avi to mp4. I've added the file to my library but it won't seem to let me sync it over my 3G iPhone. It says "there are no rented movies in your itunes library that can be transferred to this iPhone.." I've had the first gen iPhone and this never used to be an issue. Anyone know what I can do to get around this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

does anyone know about apple canada's warranty or replacement policy in regards to dead pixels or stuck pixels?

i believe u have to peel off the old IS, send it back in an envolope, and they mail u a new IS.

I occasionally have a bright green stuck pixel that shows up so I did a search.

What color is your stuck pixel? usually the stuck ones are very bright and may be able to be unstuck. The lighter ones may be dead pixel and may never be unstuck. Here is some things you can try

-Pixelmetrist. Its an app on the app store that will flash color on the the part of the screen that have stuck pixel.

-Youtube stuck pixel fix and play the video on the phone

-This is what got mine pixel unstuck. Massage the stuck pixel with your thumb not a gentle massage though do give it some force

not gurantee to work but give it a try its easier than going all the way to pacific pay for parking and get a replacement that may be worst than your old phone

Hey guys, does the iphone has it's own built in Caller-ID?

i phoned rogers and i wanted to change my "communcations package" to just Caller ID and Text messages, but they said they only have a "Txt msg pack" by itself

so if i cancelled all my other services and only got the txt msg pack does the iphone have built in caller-ID that will show me if a number in my contact list is calling?

I'm not sure if you just did a fresh installation of iTunes, but here's something to check - plug in your iPhone, and select it in iTunes. It should bring up your Summary screen for your iPod. Go to the Movies tab on your iPhone and make sure Sync Movies checkbox is selected and the movie you want to sync to your iPod should be listed. (Videora should put it into your Movies list for you automatically. If not, drag and drop the movie into the movies list and sync again)

Caller ID should be a network provided service. If you don't subscribe to it, then you don't get it. (i.e. caller ID isn't a function of the phone) Unless they forget to turn it off, it will probably just show unknown number or something like "incoming call" if you don't have the feature. Perhaps one of the guys that work at Rogers can discuss how the plans work since I'm not too familiar with them.

How the fuck to you get rid of the spell checker? Honestly like, it's the most annoying function I have had to deal with. I can't stand it. the only way to shut it off is it your jailbreak it youu can install a toggle on bosspref that disable it. Rumor is apple is gonna include a switch to turn it off on 2.2 which god knows when will be release

if you guys have cydia, then go get the source for iclarified and theres this program called disable auto correction. it'll disable the annoying auto correction
