IMHO, $80 is pretty damn good deal for Unlimited data + Voice + Visual VM.. I pay $120 average / Month for Voice + BB Data.. :(

I love how everyone's saying that the prices for the new iPhone are "cheap", yet they fail to factor in the mandatory data options you'll be paying on top of you're base plan.

HUP applied directly to the $199/299 (so it's 199-HUP=final price), or is it HUP so that it's GOING to be $199/299?

I think people will back off from 3G iPhone after they realized they are locked-up for 3 years on expensive plans!

This is impact Apple sales big time! I was planning to wait for the 3G iPhone, and now I rather get the older one.. since I don't use data plan that much anyways.
I doubt I will be surfing on the phone during the weekday anyways since I worked full time.

maybe the police will covertly stand at the rogers/fido stores, and when somebody buys the new 3g iphone, they will threaten the buyer with the whole copyright bullshit legislation

Called Fido today, CSR told me that I had to wait until Oct because my plan has a $6.95 service charge or whatever its called waived on my city fido acount and I need that on my account to get the iphone. Honestly I had no idea what she was going on about so I said ok and hung up. I think I'll stick with my unlocked iphone and keep an eye out for any unlocked 3g's that might pop up on eBay down the road.
