problem shut itself in the background when there is not enough RAM. after trying out backgrounder i fully understand why apple didn't implement this themselves. its clearly the current iphone hardware does not have enough RAM to handle background process

Is there an IM app out there that will work with Jabber chatrooms? I'm using Palringo right now, and while it works with Jabber logins and contact lists, I can't join Jabber chatrooms.

Hey guys, found a great way to get cracked apps without using installous to download them.

using your safari go to a upload site (4shared.com, 2shared.com rapidshare.com)

once you're there, go to search then type in program name.ipa (ex monopoly.ipa)

it'll give u a list to choose from if anything is upload there, just click on the link and download.

Once the download is done, then go to installous and to the downloads and it'll be saved there for you to install.

I was finding that when I went directly through installous, some games didnt show up and alot of the links were dead.

Lol it's almost the same as going through installous.. But this is really gay, no beejive, patches don't do anything either.. I'm using that IM+ program which isn't so bad.. Beejive is on sale for $10

lol, i paid $30 for beejive when i had my old curve, but i can also use it on as many blackberries i want too.

i download from http://appulo.us/appdb/ and then install the .ipa with itunes

yeah its almost the same except installous sometimes doesnt show links when you search for games and alot of their links are broken. When you manually search, every link is working :thumbsup:

how do you install the .ipa after u download it?

assuming your phone has the mobileinstalltion hack.

double click the .ipa it will copy over to itunes than when it sync it sync over just like any legitimate ipa

^^ could very well be. for ppl with out data plan its charge by the kb.

if its your first ti e you might be able to get fido to waive it for u make sure to get them to cut off your data access.

wow u got raped with data charges. My friend got an iphone without data and she told us that it was $16 everytime she touched an application that used the net. She's also a facebook whore so I dunno why she didnt get a data plan but she ended up with $120 in charges for data :lol

It has a lot of fancy features and games....but it can't even do some of the most fundamental things....

I can't even put more than one custom ringtone on there now....coz somehow there's bug and it keeps duplicating the same ringtone even if I put 10 diff ones in...
The only solution I found was to restore the phone.....which is going to take FOREVER...

Its 5 cents/kb usage if you don't have a data plan, so how did that even happen? haha. At most you'd be charge $34 not including tax. Good luck with that though.

I believe Fido's official policy is that first time data overusage offenders get 50% off the overage bill, not 100% removed. Don't be surprised if they force you to pay for half of it (I've read several similar cases to this on howard forums).

Also note if it happens a second time there will be no discount on the overage. If you have an iPhone without a data plan it is highly recommended that you call in to customer service and have your data usage disabled.

i laugh at anyone that has a smart phone without a data plan.
