Is MMS working with Fido yet? My friend on Rogers tried to send me one but I couldn't receive it :(

so wat the unlock state for the 3g phones right now.

i kept my 3g in a pre 2.2.1 baseband because i'm understand the impression any baseband after that is not unlockable.

is it still the same now?

my 3g's warranty ends in aug and it's got dust under the screen I want to get it exchange since i won't be upgrading to 3gs. is it safe to exchange and still be able to unlock it.

ability to use it oversea is more important to me than dust under screen

should be working for both fido and rogers. Do you have a data plan? cuz you need one in order for it to work thats what I've been told.

technically speaking, cant any flash be undone? i dont see whey the radio baseband cant be re-flashed with an older ROM or whatever.

Has anyone found a reliable custom 3.0 IPSW made with Pwnage Tools uploaded somewhere? I only have a Windows PC. You don't actually need Pwnage Tools, you just need someone else with a Max OS computer to use Pwnage Tools to create the custom IPSW, then you can use that IPSW to jailbreak your iPhone on your Windows PC.

you don't need 1GB to upgrade to 3.0 right? i might've read the site wrong..

Anyone with the 3GS able to try running speedtest app?

I'm getting 2000 kbps download and 154 kbps upload. Compared to my home wifi 11992 kbps download and 462 kbps upload. Is that normal?

3G jailbreak available now from the DEV team, man those guys work fast. red snow is so friggin easy to use, anyone can do this. i did it, went flawlessly, so easy and done in about 10mins. the redsnow unlocks and jailbreaks the 1st gen iphone, it only jailbreaks the 3G, going to have to wait for ultrasnow to do the unlock. there is nothing available for the 3G-S as of yet.

I finally updated to 3.0 and jailbroke it. Lots of apps still not working with the new 3.0 software so I guess it's all in due time. Anyone else have their's jailbroke? Need to ask a few questions.

I just upgraded and jailbreaked my 2G iPhone. It's weird cuz I don't have Notes and Calculator any more. Weird. Kinda regret upgrading it now.

no metal gear is not worth it. if jailbreaking is an option for u, u should defintely do it. that way u wont have to play Sally's Salon :rolleyes:

btw, all the games i downloaded through installous (and synced with itunes) dont work with my iphone anymore, after going to 3.0. anyone have the same problem?

Yep, me too. I think it's an issue with how Installous installs it into the system. Have you tried installing them again?

Metal Gear Solid is a terrible game, a complete money grab at $6.99. Its basically a shooting gallery game where you stand still and shoot at enemies that pop out from set locations.

Yes. I upgraded to 3.0 firmware, jailbroke with Redsn0w, and restored my iPhone backup. It restored all my iTunes free and paid apps, but none of my Installous apps, even though they still show in iTunes. I have read that this is a well known issue for each firmware upgrade, and you must go to Installous and redownload all your apps to get them back.

I've jailbroken my 3G, its working great, installous is finally up and running as well. and mms should be working on fido already, because it does work on rogers.

My friend sent an MMS to my Fido iphone 3gs from his Rogers iphone 3gs and the image wasnt embedded in the text. I just got a text from Fido saying to go to a link it sent me with some access code to view the image.....ghey!

Is it suppose to be like that for Fido ppl? He said it works going Rogers to Rogers MMS.

Why would you want to put an anti-glare screen on the back of the iPhone? :p
