anyone have suggestions on a smooth gliding screen protector?

Yeah i had BSE screen protector too and found it to be too grippy

if you want to pay $20 (for two), apple store has anti-glare ones

im using these right now and it is really resistant to finger print oils/smudges and smooth gliding for games.

I ordered couple from dealextreme just to see how they were ($2 each) but didnt have a chance to try them out, but the texture seems to be the same as the ones from apple store

heads up for u guys. 3g unrestrictor is up on cydia store for $2

will work with stock apple apps which didn't work before with voipover3g. and it also has a GUI setting.

If you dig harder you can save yourself the $2 too ;)

^^ UI take about 20 sec to get use it. Its not bad, but NO C&C FTL.

I did notice the GPS signal seems to lack 1-2 sec behind especially after turns. and the voice prompt for turning can't be adjust and right now its like at 200m, needs more warning.

It does have weird routing doesn't seem to know how to avoid heavy, i check off no U turn and on some place it constantly tell me to U turn. In fact i told me to U turn immediately after getting of a hwy1 ramp on willingdon once:rolleyes:.

As it stand its not worth the 79.99 it asks for. But hey I appulous ed it. Cant complaint abt freebies.

Unfortunately it like the only choice right now and although it is sucky its still better than xGPS the JB Navi App.

If you are JB, Get it. You never know when you might use it, but I wouldn't depend it as the only source for long roadtrips.

TomTom please get your shit together

Google Latitude... :lol

At least it managed to put me within 50km of my actual location... Not very accurate, it seems.

Hey guys, we have a lot of world-travelers here, maybe someone can give me a pointer: a friend of mine just went to France with her new iPhone and she's having trouble sending emails. She's connected to a WiFi hotspot to save her data plan, and the mails just aren't going out. She's connected to the hotspot, she can surf the 'net fine, but she gets "Cannot access Rogers Wireless" or something like that when she tries to send mail.

Is it the SMTP server settings? What should that be?

Psykopathik 07-27-2009 08:36 PM

If you got a dull scratched chrome bezel, try Nevr-dull polish. It's like a cotton wadding. Can't take all the scratches out but mine looks way better now. Find it in the automotive section of Cambodian tire.

or, tape off the screen and plastic backing around the bezel and go at it with a scotchbrite pad, comes out looking like brushed aluminum.

hmm yeah i need to polish my bezel.. it's not looking so hot no more.

BlackV62K2 07-28-2009 10:46 AM

I've switch to the Switcheasy Anti-Glare screen protector.....best one I've used so far.

MarkyMark 07-28-2009 01:22 PM

Someone actually makes something called the Bezel Blaster http://www.ipodobserver.com/ipo/revi...bezel_blaster/

It seems to take the chrome look away, but it takes out the scratches and leaves a brushed metal look to it, which is pretty cool.

RedLaser app.

Pretty cool barcode scanner app that compares prices for you. Even though it's not greatly useful, it's still a very cool toy app that you can play with :D

Free if u're jb'd. I think it's only for the US AppStore if you want to get it from the AppStore.

I have an Anti-Glare too. It was a lot more oil resistant when I first got it a year ago. Maybe I should put a new one on

didn't know SE make anti glare now. have you use other brands like power support and SGP? how do they compare.

The clear one they include with the rebel and neo are crap, horrible rainbow effect

her email account is from who?

normally internet is internet, whether from 3g or wifi. the email client and server (say gmail, etc) don't know or care which is being used.. as long as they can talk to each other.

Yeah the one that came with my Switcheasy rebel case was garbage so I was a bit skeptical about the anti-reflective they have.....but it's awesome. Slides very smooth unlike the ones that came with the case, those were too gripy.
