nice those app are really good. spec is eh. but fortifying the UI is sweet!

the prices on these things seem way to cheap. The apple 8gig iPod touch is still $299, shouldn't the touch now be less than the iPhone as it always has been? I'm guess that the reason the phone is priced is so low is that you have to sign a contract with the provider locking you down for a couple of years. If that's the case the price point isn't very attractive.

iphone imperialism, everyone will be using a real iphone now sincie it is only $200.
other cellphone companies will be crying .

haha Telus and Bell and Koodo will be crying this christmas as well as all the suckers that still have their iPhone 2Gs for $500 a pop..

199/299 US for 8gb/16gb, I must say the price is so good that it is becoming a Honda Civic on the street, maybe a bit more worse...lol

The $199 pricepoint was really surprising.
Very impressed with how the software is improving.

^ why would they be crying? a phone depreciates like a car, i've had my iphone for over 6 months and its made me happy for what i use it for.

apple will take away low end users from other cellphone makers.
would you buy a crappy nokia 6300 for $200 now that an iphone is the same price?
potential iphone killers like the htc diamond or se x1 will have to adjust their prices, dont you think?
Just when their competitors think they can create something to go against iphone, apple does a big price drop.
also bad news for other mp3 player makers, $200 for a 8gb ipod with phone functions is incredible.
This is good news if you are trying to buy a new phone as I think cellphone prices are going down.

Both rogers and fido gonna carry this. i dont know about fido but i think rogers already have unlimited internet/data plan right now. Can anyone confirm this?

nice...was looking for an iphone and gotta wait till fido carries it over rather then paying $400-500 for current iphone... :)

I'll cheer when Rogers comes out with a decent plan for this.

The phone is cheap, but if the plan that goes with it isn't decent then there's no point.
