Shit I hope that's not true... | looks like he hyperextended his knee on that play, so an acl or mcl is very probable Quote:

update on luongo. apparently a pop was heard when he went down. speculation is that the pop may be connected with a groin injury. worst case scenario is the muscle pulling from the bone which will require surgery. oh man
lets hope they are all wrong.

lets hope for the best guys
we will know soon enuff since teh canucks can't keep their news a secret that long, even with that new ruling that teams dont have to discuss the type of injuries to press..
i mean..concussion..its a upper body injury
gimmie a break..

I was wondering what would have happened if Sanford got really got injured after that hit in today's game. I guess they would have had to dress another player. Mitchell or even Burrows. Burrows played goal at one point. Canucks still would have won. They were that good today.

Im just curious, if Lu is out for the rest of the season, does the rest of his salary become void towards the Cap and make us under the minimum, or is still part of it, but were allowed to bring someone else in with the funds we would have spent on him?

Like when Morrison only played half the season last year.
Hopefully it doesnt come down to that.

So if Sanford did get injured from that elbow right after, would they have to dress a third goalie with full equipement from one of the forward/defensemen?
That's quite interesting actually. Never happened in NHL history I suppose?
First Brodeur, now Luongo. Hope Luongo isn't really out for like 4-6 months like Brodeur.
Anyway, I thought Canucks played well defensively in the 3rd period, but I think they could of done better in the offensive department instead of sitting on the lead.
I was really hoping Sanford could of got a shutout though. That would of been really nice.
