it's not really about what the canucks did, but what the wings werent able to do
we shut down alot of their breakouts and intercepted a tonne of passes in our zone, as well as a couple of good defensive plays, the pyatt stick lift on zet's etc.
imo we played pretty soundly all around

Yea was streaming it in the library when they made it 2-1 I thought damm its over. Start to head over to classroom for tutorial but the group had trouble setting up, so I thought hmm I'll check the score on my blackberry to my surprise it became 2-2.
Almost screamed on the spot haha. Anyone think the penalty on burrows is kinda weak?

Clearly we could see why Detroit's such a strong team with their precise passing which makes them really fast and their puck possession and trapping the Canucks in their own zone a big portion of the game. I'm sure Detroit would have or should have scored some too but Sanford was the main difference. Although Canucks did play well defensively too, such as the stick lift by Pyatt. Quote:

But I stuck around just to see if Canucks would actually start trying to play offense. They showed some desperation and energy right off the face-off so I decided they were worthy to continue to watch. Good thing I kept watching.
Canucks pretty much dominated in OT, and that was before they went on the PP. I don't think Canucks would have won if it went into SO. Just my hunch.

what a fucking AWESOME GAME to be at
This hot girl and her friend left when Detroit scored with ~3.5 minutes left. We told them the game wasn't over yet and what happens? Canucks score a minute later and they come walking back to their seats. I give them shit by saying "told you the game wasn't over" and the people around me heard it and started heckling them about it
The crowd jumped out of their seats and screamed so loud when we tied it and when we won in OT.
Nothing beats watching a Canucks game live |

Prior to his goal, Salo received some advice - and it wasn't from head coach Alain Vigneault or any of his offensive minded teammates.
The guy? Of course, it was Sanford.
"When I skated to the bench on the penalty, I told Sami: 'Now is the time to let one go' so I called it," chuckled Sanford. Salo admitted this was a true story.
"Yeah, Curtis did say that actually," Salo said. "I have to thank him for the goal." | |

Sandman ftw
He played a great game last night. I'd say the two goals that Detroit scored on him were near perfect shots.
