The sedins are a pair..that can excel further by having a constant line mate...it makes the twins better themselves and whoever they are playing with.
Kes and Bur have awesome chemistry, and Beriner i very fitting with this line..so they havent been broken up cuz AV sees its working.
Aside from that the constant change of everything and everyone is disgusting....even on defense, the pairs are changing...somewhat
as for Raymond, he needs to sit in the press box for a game.
the radio was sayin how its Grabner's time to come up. 7goals in 5 games. not bad

We've been talking about Raymonds play for the last few weeks and it is beyond me why AV hasn't benched him yet.

QUESTION: How come the home crowds are so consistently quiet + dead? I don't remember our home crowd to be this quiet for the longest time. Like last sat vs the Sharks, no one even sang along during the anthem! WTH?

I think the fans are fed up and just come because they paid for the tickets already.
I remember when Demitra first came, he said he hates line juggling.
I do agree with with Jah Al Zawahiri, I doubt Gillis will change AV during mid season.
Hopefully Canucks will light it up again after the All Star Break. As for now, with the few games Canucks still have left before the break, I don't see anything changing.

I mean, there's no player in the roster the likes of Bertuzzi or Avery that causes player to player tension. This was evidenced by the team's early success and how tight they were with each other.
Now the team goes on a losing funk and the only thing we constantly see are the coaching staff singling out or making examples of character players in the team. Guys who are popular to the team and are well-respected by their fellow mates.
First it was Demitra's demotion to the 4th line.
Second it was Hansen getting sent back to the minors.
Lastly it was Wellwood getting scratched.
***I guess Sanford too, who was well-liked by his teammates
(But I don't know if that's a management decision, MG, or a coaching decision AV)
Taking all points into consideration, the suggestion that AV has lost the team is not too far of a leap to make.

Taking all points into consideration, the suggestion that AV has lost the team is not too far of a leap to make. | Yup, can't really disagree with your points and Darthchilli made some good observations which honestly most of us could feel by watching the game at home last night. I guess the question now is if it is a coaching issue will Gillis have the balls to do anything during the season or during the off season? No question it's very risky to replace a coach mid season but the Canucks have lost 6 games in a row and will be close to setting a team record if they lose on Sunday.
I think the biggest issue right now is for the Aquilini's. The Canucks could miss the playoffs 2 years in a year and quite frankly the Canucks are a boring team to watch. The good times economically are winding down and sooner or later people will get fed up with the on ice product and stop buying over priced tickets to watch a team that’s as exciting as Nashville Predators. I'm not saying the Canucks will get a half full GM place but anything less than a sellout could be big problems for the Aquilini's

Thanks for the post darthchilli. Haven`t felt this disgusted watching the team in awhile. Maybe this will mean more people will flat out give me their lower bowl tickets hah. I use to get free ice level tickets all the time during the Messier years.

I'm guessing there will be a new coach after the All Star Game.
Pat Quinn? John Tortorella? Peter Laviolette? Pat Burns?

^ Pat Quinn is well respected and has a great resume'. I would love to have him here as he is known to let players play so that should benefit everyone but speculations see him going to Pittsburgh as he wants the best chance to win the cup....
Anyways, something positive to talk about.. just saw that the Giants won again last night and are now 36-3-0-3 or something haha..woow...

Tuesday, wasnt all too "dead", but being an eastern team, and weeknight..means more suits than ever... those nights vs some of the Eastern teams are sorta dead ANYWAYS. Last nite, the crowd was lost after hte first, and the u saw more maroon blotches more than anything. Even the upperbowl, which is where the TRUE fans sit was just horrible. ppl were excited tonight, up until the 2nd goal...where everyone tried to tie up the forwards and left Lindstrom all alone with Lu. Taking all points into consideration, the suggestion that AV has lost the team is not too far of a leap to make. | Lots of good coaches who have put out winners out there, but this team needs to find confidence amongst each other and it doesnt begin with AV. The fact that theres no communication after a shift between linemates or yelling across to the defence and vice versa...it proves to me the players are losing each other. hell even my beer league team i play with, we talk on and off the ice about the next shift..what we can do to change it up a bit. Winning OR losing
I thot Demitra responded to his demotion well. Hansen responded alright tonight.
The moose needs to come out and scare the nucks a bit. they are on fire

They all of a sudden lost their confidence. Remember all the "woooo" every win and seemed like they were a close bunch.. it doesn't seem like it at this moment...seems like the players are not playing for the coach anymore and that's why everyoen is saying get rid of AV... cuz not playing for the coach is one of the worst thing that can happen in any sport.
What about trying out Quinn? the players will respect him. What about Linden? haha...i know he's not ready to take that role but jus throwing it out there. but I do feel that AV will be let go soon.

And it wasn't just the on-ice performance that was awful, the whole game presentation last night was missing completely. I attend games fairly often (and have worked on NHL promotions) and for some reason, at last night's game it was all non-existent.
Except for the Welcome Back Luongo video, there was nothing in between plays to entertain fans or get them excited. No, the organ over and over again doesn't count. Not only is the team playing badly, but the Canucks Game Presentation team is dropping the ball as well.

It's great to know that a lot of people here cant stand AV's line juggling. I know by talking to other people, some actually like the juggling and AV is the greatest coach in the NHL. Apparently winning the Jack Adams means that you can do no harm Anyone here remember the coach from Phoenix that won the award in about 2000? Yeah nobody does.
Of course once Luongo shakes off the rust and we win a few games, AV will be the greatest coach again with his brilliant systems that never change like his lines which every team in the NHL already know.

If we lose the next home game, it'll be a new record low for us.
