Oilers are a very good team who've had injuries and goalie issues but seem to be getting their shit together now so it's no surprise to me that their crawling their way up the standings.

Tough loss, but a valiant effort against a team that has owned us this season.

As disappointed as this loss was, I don't think the team will take this as a blow to their confidence.

They put up a good damn fight and they need to bring that level of game to every team from here-on in.

And shoot more.

we never have a complete team do we? we score 1 goal when luongo does good. but against steve mason we score 5 goals yet our defense/luongo lets in 6 (including shootout).

14 shots in the entire game, and it took how long to actually get a shot in the third?!

of course against the best team in the nhl. you cant just expect to sit on a lead with no offensive pressure for that amount of time and expect to get away with it. lou almost covered AV's ass with that, at least get some sort of forecheck in the first part of the period.

and how long was the puck covered for in that scramble?!

At least lou looks like he's back, sundin getting his stride. A game the team should have won but a great effort nonetheless. Hopefully the team can get some confidence knowing they can give the Sharks a run for their money and get on a roll

I don't know about us having stopped playing in the 3rd. For the defensive gave that we played in the 3rd I think they played it well. They kept the Shark's chances are a minimal and it wasn't until the 6 on 5 that they put one in.

That play where the Shark's player had their leg in Luongo's pads and he couldn't get up but still made the glove save. I woulda went ballistic if that went in and they counted that as a goal

This lost stings. Playing the best team in hockey in their own rink where they've only lost once in regulation, blowing the lead with 40 seconds left, the refs calling that bull shit penalty etc.

We went into defense mode way too early in the game... I know tonight we were capable of making offensive plays... What a disappointment, but A+ for effort..

is it really JUST av's fault thou? Seems like everyone sucked.....and like the Sedins, I don't think any more coaching can get them to stop with the useless fancy shit and just shoot the fucking puck.

Sundin was beat...not that Sundin cant finish, Nabakov played him like any decent goaltender would. Stay with the shooter and be as big as he can and he did just that, the replays pretty much showed that sundin had no chance once nabakov forced him to pull the puck towards himself.

The nucks effort tonight was much bigger and better than what the shots on goal scored.

If the canucks didnt line up 3guys at the line in the 3rd and actually attempt to get in the zone. you can for sure expect the game to be over quicker than in OT. As "sloppy" as some will say the sharks play. Look on the bright side, the team played more like a team today, it seems like the players communicated on the ice more.

the highlight...welcome back LU.

I only saw parts of the game. fucking gay. looked like the Canucks played a pretty good game but broke down in the dying seconds and into OT. Thorton assisted on both Sharks goals...not too surprised there. And that OT penalty kill, the line change was freaking horrible!! I must say they have picked up their shit and actually played decent and had all that shoving after the game ended.

We had 14 shots on goal and 1 PP.. yikes. Trapping SJ with a 1 goal lead for 20 mins is like a coin flip. We played it pretty awesome until they pulled their goalie.

Goals are harder to score the last 40 games than the first 40. Let's see how good we are after everyone starts playing defense.

I think the Sedins played well tonight, both of them were hard on the back check and cycled quite well. Bieksa had a stonger game compared to his last few, and Salo didnt get hurt which was good to see.
