A team that has gone through as many many line changes as the Canucks have, would be ready for anything.... at least you'd think so. As a coach, I guess through line juggling, you get to know how players react with each other and in certain situations. What works what doesn't. Some good lines have been put together as of late. Breaking up Kesler and Burrows was something that didn't make sense at first, but does now.
As we get closer to the payoffs, lines will need to be solidified. I guess the line juggling was bit too much for the team? I think Sundin coming in, Luongo being injured. Demitra and a few others probably not 100% healthy through that gawd awful period didn't help matters, either.
I know this sounds cliché, but I hope the Canucks "peak" at the right time. If this is their turning point and they go gang busters for the rest of the season, could they peter out in the playoffs? The Canucks are not like Detroit, San Jose, and Boston. It's amazing how those teams keep winning like that all season long.

Because Burrows and Kesler are both having pretty even seasons. They both play with their heart. To me Burrows contributes just as much as Kesler does.

I was at the game last night, what a game and talk about the effort the Canucks brought, just wow. Hopefully we can keep this winning streak alive for the Leafs game in 2 weeks because i'll be there watching.

But I guarantee you, lose a handful of games and AV will be back to blowing up his current successful lines right now instead of allowing these lines to play out of their funk. That's just the way he is. | If AV juggles the lines again, I think that's the time when Gillis should step in and send AV to the circus.
At least the Demitra, Kesler, Sundin line looks pretty good though.

Some amazing similarities between the game last night and the one between the Red Wings and the Oilers.
Both the Canucks and Red Wings got 6-0 leads in the game.
Both the Blackhawks and Oilers replied with 3 of their own to make it 6-3.
Both the Canucks and Red Wings scored the 7th goal on breakaways after brutal turnovers by the other team.
Of course the main difference was that the Red Wings scored an extra one after that to make it 8-3 instead of 7-3... but pretty remarkable similarities there.

Aside from Luongo being the captain in general, Kesler is currently the only player to step up to teh occasion. It's Keslers' time to shine anyways, in the league itself, he is a 3rd string center on a checking line..its only here in town that he is the key guy.
regardless, good rounded effort, just like the opener vs the flames. Im not going to comment much about tonight cuz the effort was there. As for Mason Raymond, theres not much he can do if the people ahead of him in the the depth chart is playing to what they are suppose to do. I have said int he past..wtf is he doing...but also guys he plays wiht is a difference, he had a much better game tonight than he did the past couple outings playing with hordichuk, at least he got a point out of it

it helps that kesler's playing with sundin and demitra instead of pluggers.
Anyway, it looks like this thing's turned around now. Give credit to the coaches for fixing their atrocious play.
They're not playing like women on teh outside passing to each other anymore. Instead, they're throwing shots at the goal and crashing the net trying to get bounces which is a lot harder to play against than waiting for the sedin's to make their perfect passing play that always ends up in a turnover.
Adn hopefully they've calmed down a bit on the PK instead of running around trying to do everything.

A bit of an agitator, plus it's hard to understand what he's saying. Burrows is like a great front line soldier. Having said all that, these two lack experience (just another aspect, but important). Sundin would make a great captain, but he hasn't been with the team long enough and he might not even stay past next year. Too bad we don't have a guy like Iginla. He has all the right stuff.

It was a great win by the Canucks. The crowd was definitely into it. (they managed to get "the wave" going around the stadium more than once). It's a good step in the right direction - they were shooting and getting chances and making the most of the PP.
They had me worried for a while there in the 3rd chasing the puck in the defensive zone and getting 2 unanswered goals for Chicago. I honestly though that a 6 point lead at the time might not be enough since it looked like the Hawks were mounting a comeback. Fortunately, they hunkered down and finished off the game and didn't let them score any more.
BTW, when did GM Place start getting strict about cameras? I had 2 different people tell me I couldn't use my camera if the zoom was > 70mm (not that they knew what that meant because they didn't say anything about my 55-250 that I brought in)

Didn't stop me from bringing it in, just said I couldn't use anything over 70mm or it would be confiscated until after the game.

I've never brought a camera into GM Place so I never knew. I think someone asked about it a while back but I don't think I heard an actual hard number. Besides, none of the people working there probably have any idea what the number actually means. I just said mine was a 55mm lens and they didn't say a thing.
I used the same lens a month ago at Pepsi Center in Denver, and they didn't have any rules against the camera. Just as long as it didn't shoot video, they didn't care.
I still took a few pics anyways, though my seats weren't that great and the net was in the way for most of my pics.
