Yann Sauve tries to play his game like Dion Phaneuf, and i think in the Prospects game he got into a bruhaha with Steve Stamkos if that helps his value at all......
I didnt know Jared Stall was in this years draft either...... i would of Drafted him cause u know he "could" be as good as his brothers. And in the NHL's eyes, any drafted players that plays in the NHL is considered a success
now just looking at his stats, hes not as talented as any of his brothers, and needs alot of time to develop tooo

Darcy Tucker might be available. Might be a perfect fit for the Sedins.... a Carter like player with a good one timer. And is not afraid to get into those dirty areas

Not like he won't still do what he does best and lots of it but had guys like Shannahan not been there in NY to keep him sort of in check he would of went nuts.

I don't know about Wellwood, kid has talent but is one of the lasiest guys around, his conditioning is horrible, he doesn't train much and is in horrible shape. Hopefully Coach V & Takahashi can light a fire under his ass.
lol

I'm really wondering if Wellwood will be in any condition for training camp. He's coming off hernia surgury and a leg injury where he didn't perform any of his rehab because it required him to workout. Wellwood doesn't believe in working out and will do anything to avoid it and smokes constantly, I'm thinking the Canucks better hire Peter Twist back and lock Wellwood in the gym with him all summer.

wellwood is a cheap pick up...he is better than other 4th line players and until he proves otherwise, thats exactly where he will play.

(and so will Naslund I'm pretty sure) Quote:

This pick up is ok . not sure how much we need to pay him for it. but If he gets into shape this summer and training camp. this kid can score/playmaker for sure.

The leaf's always said Wellwood was a 2nd line C... He has had alot of injuries though and hasnt fullfilled this projection.
In saying so I believe its a good pick up. Im pretty sure he will be slotted on the 3rd line maybe 2nd depending on who else we pick up.

It's tough to speculate on Wellwood. He's got talent but he's lazy and injury prone. Can't blame him for being out of shape when his leg is broken though...difficult to work out when you can barely move...although at the same time, he looks like he REALLY let himself go...
