All it takes is another goal to make it 5-1, making it really difficult for the opposition to even want to try for a comeback. You're right in saying that no lead, no matter how much, is safe these days. I don't think the Canucks let up too much as the score would indicate. In the old days, people would accuse the other team of running up the score. I would love to see the Canucks play to an 8 - 0 lead.
Anyway, Toronto up next. That's a huge game. Save the goals and energy for that game. I think that game is going to be insane. So, in Detroit, they throw out the Octopussy, and in Vancouver, it's the salmon. What do the Leafs fans throw onto the ice? Next time Calgary comes to town, all the fans should have uber long hockey sticks swaying in the stands.
