^ he's legit when he's showing support for the troops, hes crying for fuck sakes..
personally I can usually appreciate everything cherry has to say, and like many other ppl say, he knows exactly what he's doing and most of his moves are all planned to create a stir and get people talking

Funny, didn't people bash Avery for saying that Cherry doesn't know any hockey? Now everyone is bashing Cherry. I bet Avery is having his laugh now..haha

Teams don't normally publicize what they are going to do prior to doing it. It makes for a bad trade.

This comment by Aquilini is ridiculous.
That greaseball (not a racial slur, Aquilini is an absolute greaseball) is the one who didn't have faith or loyalty to the man he was PAYING TO HAVE A VISION FOR THE TEAM.
Shit Fran, why not just run the show like Jerry Jones does in Dallas? This way, you have somebody to blame if your 'plan' failed.
Turns out, Nonis was 100% right on veto-ing the Richards trade. Edler is carrying our defense, Kesler has been our best forward all year, Richards is currently being outscored by Kesler and is eating up more cap space.
You want to talk about disloyal, Aquilini? Do you not own a mirror? YOU'RE the one who went behind the back of Beedie and Gagliardi, YOU'RE the one who's made a fortune off of shitty condos. YOU'RE the one who sells out your fans by offering the highest ticket prices in the NHL, as well as a shit-tonne of pay-per-view games which screw the common fan. Nonis' undoing as a GM was because he was too loyal.
He's a greaseball and a prick rolled up into one. Guys like him are a dime-a-dozen on Commercial Drive, and I wouldn't trust him. I wouldn't trust him if he gave me directions to the nearest 7-11.
Bar none, the worst owner in hockey since Harold Ballard. Eventually I'm going to start boycotting companies that advertise the Canucks for supporting this loser.
I hope Chris Brown hits him next.

I don't think anyone could have the reputation for being an asshat that Ballard did tho

Luongo helmet thing came out today at McDonald's. $2.99. It's kind of cheesy, but good enough for the Canuck shrine. I assume they will be gone within a day or two. The one I went to had 4 boxes of Carey Price helmets left. I guess nobody wants them. Buy any item and pay the $2.99.

Avery is a freaking cancer to any team he plays on. NY was the only exception because they had Shanny to keep him in check. We'll have to see how the players take the news. I'd like to see if they hate him there as much as the guys in Dallas did.
I see things not turning out well for the Rangers with the Avery acquisition. He's got a proven record of being disruptive to any team he's played for. I doubt a few months of therapy has done anything for him.

the canucks should pick up Bmo..for the only reason to kill some penalties, hes decent at best at that when not scoring, tho the team dont really need anymore centermen..
sadly..dont think the canucks need anyone out on the waiver wire xept Bmo....but Gary Roberts brings err...nothing but LOSE to any team...bwhahaha

no jovo..
he's got 2yrs left on his contract that will pay him 6 and 6.5
i rather have ohlund at that price right now,
yea we might not get anything back in return, but our D depth isnt too bad
plus i think Jovo isnt even up for trade, Derek Morris is the man out of PHX
if the canucks can address their 3rd line woes...and add some PK strength(B-mo or even Gary Roberts...ugh...) then it will for sure add some depth to the PK and allow Kesler and Burrows to play more minutes on the top line

i agree that morrison is a good pick up to lead the 3rd line into the playoffs
it would allow the cap we have to be spent on signing our main guys or to get a good D for the playoff run
