I wouldn't mind Dominic Moore playing 3rd line C on this team. Decent offensive upside with a great defensive game. We stick him on the 3rd line and Kesler + Burrows can remain in the top 6.
Pick up a guy like JayBo or Kuba to QB the PP and we're set.

I actually don't want Kuba but JBO on the other hand....i'm all up for it.. I hope we don't go for Antropov and give up a 1st rounder. This year's draft is DEEP as scouts say.

Off topic, but there's this guy I suddenly thought of. I thought his name was Recchi or something. I think he played for SanJose and he was probably one of the ugliest players ever with long hair.
Anyone know who I'm talking about? Maybe his name wasn't Recchi.

Anyone know who I'm talking about? Maybe his name wasn't Recchi. | I think you mean Mr. GQ himself, Mike Ricci?

21 Hours to go | That would be sick, the guy would improve the offense and the powerplay a lot.

Anyone know who I'm talking about? Maybe his name wasn't Recchi. | Mike reechi or what ever his name was played for the avs then he retired last year.
if we are in the lead for bowmeester who could we give up with out risking the talent?
I think best bet would be bieska, raymond and a 2nd round pick.
I really dont want them to give up grabner I see too much potentional in him.

most likely deal raymond and ohlund/bieksa | I can't see them tradeing Ohlund for bowmeester. His contract is up and it's basicly putting flordia is the same position. They will want someone who has contract left that will make instant impact.

I really dont want them to give up grabner I see too much potentional in him. | I guess the thing Gillis has to decide is to either go for broke this season or stay conservative and ensure we are competitive every year. I mean if Bieska is traded and J.Bo leaves for FA. I hope there's a FA that can fill that void!

We have the best chance ever right now because the team next year is really going to be different with out the twins thats for sure. We already have a good blueline and I think we can afford right now to let Bieska go (look how terrible he has played for half of this year)

This probably wouldn't happen but I'd trade him for Bieksa or Edler, Raymond and a conditional pick. They'd only get the pick if he resigns here.
The Canucks upgrade there defense and there offense through puck movement. I know Boumeisters numbers are not that great this year but look what Schnieders done for Montreal. Florida gets a young Dman who's signed for term in exchange for a player they were going to lose anyway.
We can sit here and speculate and guess but who knows what will happen. At the end of the day maybe they just end up with a 3rd line role player.

i honestly dont see gillis making such a big splash. from what i hear the group is tightly knit, especially with kb and ohlund, i think if one of them were to move it would have to be after this season, not during the playoff push when we are playing well. if this was a month ago then yea gillis has an easier job unloading since we were on a bad slide. i think gillis may tinker with the bottom 6 and that's pretty much it. maybe a bmo... maybe a recchi who knows but he's not going to distrupt the chemistry too much. our d has depth, we have a good back up, and 2 solid lines that can score with a decent 3rd and 4th line. we're looking pretty darn good already

Why do we need B.Mo though? I haven't seen him play this year enough to know how well he can skate/faceoffs which are probably his 2 important assets. Even if we claimed B.Mo you can still bet Kes/Burrows will be on the PK. They are our best PK duo! | I got mine and just renewed today choosing option 1 of 10 payments over 10 months = pay as we play they call it
