^ Joey Kenward on the Team 1040 said there was about 50 to 100 fans + YVR ground crew waving flags that greeted them at around 3am.

You know, the post game show did raise a good question.
The sweep does grant the Canucks a lengthy gap in between series. Now this both a good thing and can be a bad thing. But when you weigh out the advantages and disadvantages of both... what would your personal opinion be? Will it do more good than harm or vice versa?
What do you guys value more? The time to recuperate and rest? Or to have not had a break and continue momentum?

Notable ones are Luongo, Sundin, Henrik, Mitchell and Salo.

I'd rather be well rested than beat up but on a roll, there's still a lot of hockey to go.

We have a veteran team - so the rest is good...
It will give time for Salo to recuperate
It will give Sundin time to rest his OLD body, groin, hip, knee, face, etc etc
It will give Luongo time to massage that groin or "cramp" he had
It will give Mason Raymond time to actually grow some facial hair
When the Ducks won the cup they did it in 21 games. REST between series!
When the Wings won the cup they had 7 days between one series. REST between series!
For a team on the far west coast - I think it's great they are going to get days off.. The thing is - 5-6 days would be great - 7 is pushing it.
For a young team - not having much down time may be beneficial as they can continue rolling - but look at teams that have won the cup - you have to have at least one quick series...
Theres good and bad that comes with it - For the Canucks - the veterans can remind the rest of the team that they should not get complacent.
That's my 2 cents

the rest is always a good thing this was a physical series and it took its toll on alot of players salo, mitchell, sundin, lu, etc. these people will be able to heal because of this. and its the playoffs there should be no reason why the canucks lose focus during an extended break. Now lets hope anaheim beat sj in the series becuase then its gonna be detroit anaheim and thats alot of travel in a series and its gonna be a long series and a physical one its gonna take a big toll on whoever comes out of that and than we get to play chic or cgy id love to see that series

A Hawks vs Nucks matchup would be nice too. Pick up where they last left off.
I'm also with the camp that says the break would be more beneficial. Playing at 110% will take it's toll on everyone, and I think the healthier team will end up on top. Worst case, if the team loses a step from the break, the first game back will be enough to shock them back into playoff pace again. It was very obvious after yesterday's game that the players we on the verge of fatigue...if it went a full 7, I could see a lot more injuries than what we have right now.

Hawks are taking it tonight. This games is the most anticipated for me outside the Canucks. Should be great.. I want to see Iginla drop the gloves...and Phaneuf do something stupid like he always does.
Ryan or Mason for calder?? I say Ryan..ripped it up this year...but then again Mason had 10 shutouts..
I change my vote....I think Mason should win it.

What do you guys value more? The time to recuperate and rest? Or to have not had a break and continue momentum? | I think rest is good for Hockey, where in the playoffs its uber physical, not to mention Sami Salo is made of glass. Plus to me hockey isn't so much about a game of rhythm like say Basketball is, where a long break can screw you up.

^Mason for the calder is right
Bobby Ryan has been a star this year but hasn't impacted Ahaheim the same way Mason did to Columbus
