Going to Canucks games is a "cool" and "glamorous" thing for corporations to treat their clients to, even if neither knows anything about hockey... but they like to PRETEND that they know EVERYTHING about hockey, and spout off about it at every opportunity.
Obviously this isn't true of EVERYONE in the stands at the games, but I think Vancouver holds an unfortunate position in between the "true" hockey towns like the Original Six cities, where even the big money "gets" hockey, or the small markets where there AREN'T all those big-money playas who hold most of the season tickets... and the non-traditional-hockey-market towns where there are a passionate fans who KNOW they don't know that much about hockey, but enjoy it anyway.

If a guy scores fans complain that he doesnt hit, and if a guy hits alot, u complain that he doesnt score enough. And when he does both u gotta pay him 3+mil and then u complain about him making too much money.
Theres no winning in this city.
Happened with Naslund, Bertuzzi, Cloutier, Cooke, Kesler.
Happening now with the Sedins, Bieksa, Pyatt, Salo, eventually Demitra, and probably Sundin if he comes. |
i never complained about naslund, bert cooke or kesler. naslund wasnt comfortable with AV's system. Bertuzzi pretty much just changed after that game with Moore, Cooke does what cooke does best. and kesler is still developing. Cloutier is just too funny as a choker and letting shitty goals in.
Pyatt just doesnt really do much. He was pretty much playing between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line last season and if he only could get like 37pts thats pretty much stank imo.

Kev | so where does it tell about the signing. All I can see is it says nucks but there's nothing saying about he has actually signed. This could be a move to make the moose a better team tho.

Camallerri with Iginla is going to be a deadly combo..
if anything imo teams around us are still much better, and have improved more with proven talent then we have.

i still don't see how people can think sundin is past his prime. the man has been consistently putting up points, i think at over a ppga for the last couple years and has played 70 or more games for as long as i can remember. he didn't just score a few goals last season, he carried toronto on his back for the better half of his career and that's what we need him for here. and he's not asking for that type of money, wasn't it just our desperate offer?

You're ranting about so called "typical" Canucks fans and shit but what do you call yourself? You sound like a little whiny bitch who gets offended with opinions that aren't positive. Grow the hell up buddy.
And just to make it clear AGAIN, I have a problem with Pyatt not using his size. He's our biggest forward and he could make a bigger impact if he used his size a little more often.

If every fan was to just keep quiet despite the team playing poorly, then they'll continue to play poorly as noone has come out to saying anything. Feedback leads to improvement, but I guess some of the ways fans express themselves can be pretty harsh. However, once again, if you're making 6 million bucks a season (compare this to 100 g's doctors make to save lifes), then you better be able to handle all the criticisms from the fans.
