$36 each in the upper bowl for the Linden game. So how much did they cost you Gumby?

Although I know going there in person seeing it is quite an experience, I would rather
watch it on TV with good clear view instead of watch it at GM Place with crappy seats and can't see anything clearly. | Not many crappy seats in GM Place. The highest seats in the whole arena actually give a great view, and you can see everything unfold great unless you are as blind as a bat.
Ironically, the only seats in GM place that are borderline bad are the really expensive ones. Either sitting behind one net, or sitting really low on the side boards so that you can't see all of the action. Being so close offsets it somewhat, but I actually prefer sitting up high to get a full view of everything.

They should have some rule where only citizens of asia can play, but then I guess it's not that bad of a think to import players there. At least it can help make the asia-born people there better since they have canadian-asian "superstars" to learn from.
On average, how big are those asian players? Do they play aggressive and play with size like here, or are they more european? (not to say not all europeans don't hit) | majority of these players have gone to junior b hockey. they must possess a citizenship to play, as per IIHL rules. as their playing style, it varies, since a majority of them played junior b hockey, it'll be more of an aggresive north american style. as for size, my buddy who's on team taipei is roughly 6'0 190-ish lbs. everyone else on that team is like 5'8 160-170lbs. as for skill level my buddy plays tier 1 in pretty much any league he joins, but he said players on his team is better than the average hockey player. in other words, they may not be good at the international level, but they can pretty much school any of us on any given day.

This just shows how good Team Canada really is when they dominate the international level fairly easily!

true, but most of these countries don't have a deep hockey heritage like canada does. they gotta start somewhere. belarus pretty much started at the bottom of the pool and they eventually worked their way up to being top 10 in the world.

Asia might be the last place where anyone would imagine ice hockey been played but the more countries that play hockey, the better imo. It exposes the great game of hockey in parts of the world were hockey is unknown.

Our sight lines are really good. I've sat anything from lower bowl row 3 to upperbowl row 15 (last row). Definitely agree that sitting in the upperbowls are way better in terms of view and actually seeing the game itself. But I do like to so call ball it out sometimes because its pretty awesome sometimes being hella close to the action.
I got an ice pak in the upperbowl row 6 and manged to grab a few tix on saturday in the club seat section row 3 and 5. Bad view but pretty excited to be hella close to the action and players bench. Go canucks!

Coach Vigneault criticizes Kyle Wellwood's fitness, or lack thereof
Canucks coach Alain Vigneault didn't say Kyle Wellwood is a lost cause but he did leave some tread marks on the waiver-wire pickup after he drove the bus over him.
AV took direct aim at Wellwood's fitness level after the two-day training camp in Whislter.
“His commitment to conditioning and being a professional athlete probably wasn’t where it needed to be for him to have success,” said Vigneault. “His test results showed from early July [to training camp] significant improvements. That being said, it’s still not NHL calibre.”
Ouch. And that wasn’t the only shot that Wellwood absorbed.
“He’s going to be re-tested after the first four [preseason] games,” added Vigneault. “As long as we see improvements and consistent improvements, we’ll work with him and give him the benefit of the doubt.
“The day that stops, it [roster-spot battle] stops.”
“I know that part [conditioning] needs to get better,” Wellwood admitted.

^ meh, the way that article is written it really seems it's just trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, although his conditioning may be in question, we're in deeper trouble then you would think if were resting our trust with him..

Without him now, Wellwood has to step up big time. lol
anyway, is the pre-season on sportsnet tonight?
I'm looking at the TV schedule in the metro newspaper and it says
sportsnet at 7 - 8:30pm. I thought they never showed pre-season games
on TV in the past, so just checking...
