^Why would it be a waste? I think it would benefit them to trade him easier as some teams would want him locked him for a few years rather than a risk of him walking after 1 year or so.
And did any of you see the East all star team yet? Now that's what you call an all star team.. well not the montreal players =P (except price)

sundin looked decent last night i think he needs a couple games just to adjust to the speed i think thats mainly what last nights game was for. hopefully he will start chipping in offensively soon. this team will be poised for a cup run if sundin starts contributing, we get lu back, salo comes back, and johnson comes back i dont really care about pyatt coming back, and it be nice to have rypien in time for the playoffs

Read the first comment and it said "I don't care what anyone says to back up fan voting. Mike Komisarek in the all star game is a complete joke!!!!!!
If he had any respect for the game he would have bailed like Rory Fitzpatrick.
End of story.......

And I agree! 3 points in 22 games! and a starter..

haha..ya, Mike Komisarek is a JOKE.
they should get rid of fan voting and just let the league select 1-2 players from each team to represent the west/east

i don't see any problem with it whatsoever.
the NHL insists on having voting this way so that they can inflate their numbers to make it seem like they are popular, so it's their own fault. They already fudged the numbers with rory, but they couldn't do it with so many montreal players this year.
Komisarek got in fair and square. It's not his fault the NHL is run by gary bettman.

Was at the game last night. Pretty decent overall. Neither squad seemed overly into it, Canucks just seemed to get a couple more breaks that led to us getting the win. Excellent penalty kill though, and awesome to see the third line get all the important goals. They deserved it.

I know Komisarek got in fair and square but if you were him.. would you play? if i were him, i wouldn't as I know it's all a joke....i guess since the game is in montreal, he woulnd't mind playing lol. i'm sure if it was elsewhere, he'll take himself out of it. The East reserves looks sick though ahah.

hey guys need some help with Canucks tickets.
buying off a seller from Craigslist--is there a way to make sure the tickets are legit and will work at the gate when I show up during gametime?
i read somewhere season ticket holders can claim they lost their ticket and get a new copy which could screw me over?
seller says he has season ticket holder id
wondering if I meet up at a Ticketmaster if they can verify it and stuff..

What the fuck makes you think you have the right to fuck with anyone's food? FOR YOUR FUCKING INFORMATION, the restaurant closes 10 mins after I get in, not 10 mins before. If the front of the line staff feel like serving me, then you're shit out of luck and you better make my food and make it right. You're just someone's bitch, don't act like you're the biggest motherfucker in town because you can fuck with someones food.[/QUOTE]

^If he's a season ticket holder and such.. ask him to show you his ticket id, drivers license, license plate if you're meeting up. If he shows you all that stuff, you should be fine. I sold tickets before *concert* and the buyer asked to meet at a TM location. I was fine with it and if your seller is fine with it then he's good to go. But ticketmaster will not be able to verify if the ticket is real or fake =)
Which game?

Why don't you meet up on the day?
This might be a hassle for the seller though.

thanks for quick reply | I *think* season tickets have the picture of a canuck player (such as the ones Hondaracer posted a page or two ago, or my tickets from Dec 17), whereas tickets bought at ticketmaster have no graphics, just text printed on your typical "ticketmaster" paper (same for any/all events).
Of course, I could be wrong!

yes, seasons tickets have pictures of canucks players on them. ticketmaster tickets look like normal ticketmaster tickets.
if you do buy tickets from craigslist or whatever, make sure that you get some personal information about the seller.
hard copy tickets from season ticket holders are voided when the season ticket holder email forwards his tickets to someone or claims his original tickets are lost and then the canucks organization emails that person tickets. so if someone is a scammer, they would just email forward the tickets to someone and then sell you the voided hard copy tickets with no way to tell until you get to the gate.
if you are unsure about buying from craigslist, join prime seat club on the canucks website. it costs money to join but atleast you know the tickets are legit.

Not all seasons tickets have the canucks players on them.

Some retarded useless filler blog by Darren Dreger..a lil too late..and well..nonsense now
What Could Have Been in Vancouver
Vancouver Canucks fans have quickly fallen in love with Mats Sundin.
He's the star centre this organization has been searching for several years.
However, long before Sundin the Canucks were presented with an opportunity some might consider once in a lifetime.
The Canucks were offered Vincent Lecavalier.
The offer was made in 2006 as Jay Feaster; the general manager for the Tampa Bay Lightning was willing to do almost anything to acquire Roberto Luongo.
Feaster says he was in constant communication with Canucks general manager Dave Nonis leading up to Vancouver landing Luongo in a trade with the Florida Panthers that sent Luongo, defenseman Lukas Krajicek and Florida's sixth round pick in the 2006 NHL entry draft for Todd Bertuzzi, defenseman Bryan Allen and goaltender Alex Auld.
According to Feaster, the Los Angeles Kings were also rumored to be in the mix for Luongo, so a similar offer was made to Los Angeles.
Nonis admits he considered the trade, mainly because he wasn't convinced he would be able to sign Luongo to a long-term contract, so he kept Feaster and the Lightning on the hook and asked Feaster to throw defenseman Paul Ranger into the deal to sweeten his plan B option.
That option wasn't needed because the minute Roberto Luongo agreed to a four year, $27 million dollar deal with the Canucks, Feaster was told Luongo wasn't available.
Jay Feaster says it's the only time under his management where the team legitimately talked to other teams about moving their franchise player and says the eight times per season the Lightning faced the Panthers, even with the offensive fire power provided by Lecavalier, Brad Richards and Martin St Louis, Roberto Luongo was always in their heads. "We believed to beat him; we had to make the perfect shot."
Feaster took his shot at Roberto Luongo and used Vincent Lecavalier as his ammunition; however the Canucks also longed for stability in goal and have never looked back.
Bwahahah
good one..tho it makes sense..and Vinny Lecavalier is one of my favorite players, goaltending was absolutely needed in this town.
