We can only wish... But I really do hope Luongo gives Vancouver another chance when his contract is up. So hard to find a superstar goalies. Quote:

Too bad Backstrom just outplayed Luongo. | I acutally didn't get a chance to watch the game on saturday, but that sounds like a good system they should continue using. Seems more effective than the cycle game. As long as the pointmen don't miss the net and have the puck go around the boards and out the zone. Quote:

Currently (and historically) we've done neither. | Yeah, I've noticed Canucks never release the puck quick like some of the players from the better teams. I was beginning to wonder was it individual skill that Canuck players weren't capable of doing good one-timers so they would rather stop the puck and look for a pass, or was it against AV's system of offense to shoot one-timers.

It's like a shooting gallery. Even when those 2 don't hit the net, it just opens up the game much more to the forwards down low.
I believe this is how Kesler got the game tying goal with 10 seconds left in the 3rd. Salo shot it deep. missed the net, but rebound came front and Kesler was the first to the loose puck.

1040 is rght on this tho
making the post season and getting destroyed by SJ in the first round is like not making it at all

fuck im pissed off with the whole O'brien situation..
imo even though he's penalty minute leader, the guy has skill and potential and i think some of the top 4 dmen justified being sat before o'brien, he's got the best +/- of all those fucking bums

sure he's a plus 7 i think, but he's always getting called on a stick infraction. i like this guy, i think it was a great trade for LK, but for a guy his size, he should be hitting more. my opinion anyways

Too bad O'Brien had to go public with what was said in his meeting with AV. Truth or not, he should have kept his mouth shut. Shit like that doesn't help the team. Then again, he's probably not a team player.

hes under the impression that AV and his crew want him to fight more often.
AV wants him to play to his strengths which is being physical.

The entire Canucks team needs to stfu and win a game. SOB doesn't like what was said, ask for a trade and get the fuck out of town. If you can't handle the coach’s comments then you need to find yourself a new career.
One more player bitches about anything as stupid as what SOB is bitching about needs to be benched for the entire month. The Canucks players have turned into whiny little bitches; they’ve had enough excuses this season for their lack of effort and emotion. It’s time to step up and stfu. I'm so bloody fed up with this team, even teams around the league that stink like shit go out and give it 110% but the Canucks enjoy fighting amongst each other.

SOB aka Son of a Bitch wants out. He hinted of it when interviewed. What he did was unprofessional. Frustrated as he was, he should have known better than to say anything, because it becomes automatically a whine.
AV was glad to hear SOB was unhappy.

Im with Shane OBrien on this one. This team is just getting more and more retarded.
Fuckin Alain cant put the blame on the right people. Luongo should be first and foremost out of all the people that needs to be called out. Cant wait to get rid of this guy. I hate having the team play for him (to earn his extension), instead of him playing for the team.
Mitchell is high up on those people that needs to be called out too. Cant believe the spin people are willing to put on his fight with Raymond and OBrien. The guy like Luongo is definitely overhyped.
Jeebus. No wonder why the room is tearing apart from the seams. Its a team loss but the responsibilities arent shared evenly. Aparently there are people in the roster that can do no harm, and there others who are expected to take the slack for these people. Right, call out SOB for not fighting, yet when was the last time we saw Bieksa drop the gloves. And as far as I remember, this guy isnt exactly hot shit on D right now either, yet he doesnt get called out, nor do we see his minutes drop. Also, Wellwood skates just as slow as the Sedin sisters yet hes the only one getting called out for it. How many times have the Sedins taken hooking penalties for falling behind, whereas at least Wellwood doesnt. But like the point above, some people are just exempt.
This is so Fuckin retarded. I seriously hate the way how AV runs this team. Montreal eventually wisened up on this guy, wonder how long it will take us to do the same.

Mike Keenan called out and benched Kipper last season and at the beginning of this season but not once did he complain about his coach instead he went out and won 30 games for his team. You bench a 4th liner and he goes straight to the media to bitch about the coach and makes it sound like the Canucks need him to win games.
I'm not defending AV but I think the players deserve some blame as well. Some things are best to be kept private and behind closed doors. It's respect for your coach and GM even though you don't exactly like their decisions. This is no way to act even though you’re on a losing streak. I still remember the great team we had in 94, we barely made it into the post season but the team had heart and grit. No one pointed fingers at each other or made up excuses for been a last place team instead they brought it upon themselves to go out and just win games, which they did. It's really sad and disgusting to see what the Canucks have become. The team is full of over priced players who don't give a shit about the fans or the team or players that show some effort so they can get a new contract. It’s no longer about the fans.

SOB is just a big whiner. Plain and simple. It doesn't matter who's right or wrong. You should never go to the press with a problem, especially when the team is struggling this much. Maybe this is all a ploy by management, knowing how SOB is. Maybe it'll light a fire with the rest of the players. Anyway, who cares about SOB. There are tonnes of players willing to take his place and not whine.

Fans are always hating on Naslund and Nonis for the very PR responses to public interviews yet when you get a guy that tell's it like how it is, they get hated on all the same? Quote:

Do you think that happens here?
Do you think Luongo gets called out for every bad goal he lets in? No, all blame is placed solely on D. There's always an excuse for this guy.
Do you think the Sedins ever get called out when our offensive output isn't enough? No, there's Wellwood for that, if not him, there's Demitra.
How about penalties? Who gets called out for that? Shane O'Brien? How about the Sedins again, who are often penalized for hooking, last time in OT? Or Bieksa? Or do people just have that narrow a mind?
And let's not even start with Taylor Pyatt. A guy who never seems to get called out but is a 1st rounder that plays like a plug.
