But despite their recent struggles, they still sit 5th in the East and 1 point out of 4th.

That's harsh for a 21 y/o goalie. Especially playing in Canada. I feel bad for him to shoulder so much and have so much pressure on him at such a young age.
Yes, yes, some people may argue the fact he's good enough to play in the NHL that he should be able/expect criticism when he plays poorly, but he's only human.

hahah. I think the last time I recall the Canucks beating the Blues was on May 19, 1995.
First round, Game 7, Canucks win 5-3.
WOOOOO!!!!!

(Canucks got smoked 8-2 in game 6)

the blues are 6-1-3 in their last 10 and chris mason has been a rock in net
even without kariya and macdonald, they still have young guns like boyes oshie and berglund
we always look past teams like them and we end up losing
hopefully the nucks finally learned their lesson and play them like they did against the hawks

The Canucks will have to put in the same effort as they did against the Hawks for the rest of the season. They have to outright win at least half or more of those games to be a playoff contender (wasn't the stat somewhere more like having to win 2/3 of the remaining games?)

Fortunately the upcoming schedule is fairly easy (i.e. not playing against any very strong teams) so they have a legitimate chance of stringing together a few wins without too much problems. However, it's not always that clear cut with the Canucks as we saw during January. We lost a few games against teams we'd normally do well against.

My concern is how long do you think the line of Kesler/Sundin/Diemtra will last? It seems like V's line experiments only lasts 5-7 games and then he has to come up with something else heh.

I've always wanted to ask who was that guy in your avatar too but never bothered...

I mean, a candidate did run through my mind, but quickly crossed off because why the hell would Luongo be dressed like an Arab.....
