Anyone get their renewal package yet? Does it seem like they want you to pay for next year's season too + play offs....crazy!
Why do we need B.Mo though? I haven't seen him play this year enough to know how well he can skate/faceoffs which are probably his 2 important assets. Even if we claimed B.Mo you can still bet Kes/Burrows will be on the PK. They are our best PK duo!

i don't think it'll be a bad idea to have bmo on the 3rd line
he has the playoff experience and we know he can play a offensive and defensive game
and who knows, maybe he'll develop chemistry with the 3rd line and get them going too
either way, as darthchilli said, it costs us nothing and hes gone at the end of the season, so its a possibility

Kesler is the new Bmo. but bringing Bmo back for centering the 3rd line would allow Kesler to stay up where he is fitting in really well. that, and Bmo definitely has the faceoff ability and hockey sence to fit the 2 way roll of the 3rd line.

I don't think BMO is a step up from any of our current pluggers. So far all of them have a better contribution than what BMO brings to the table.
Wellwood (face offs, scoring, PP)
Bernier (hits, scoring)
Pyatt (size, PK)
Hordichuk (hits, fights/enforcing)
Johnson (PK, shot-blocking)
*** when I mean scoring, I mean chipping in a pluggers goal every now and then.

we can plug this
Wellwood or Bmo on center..and bernier ont he wing
then johnson pyatt and hodichuk can play 4th line and be contributing
u kno
having bmo allows more depth
playoff depth can win u games when u have options to goto
raymond maybe good trade bait..but what's his value to the rest of the league..
is it worth giving him away for a 4th or 5th rounder...
im not sure..he has some potential to be better...

I'd rather take a chance with Gary Roberts!! or even Satan!
Gary Roberts has a ton of experience and can be a good leader in the playoffs.
Satan is on his last yr too so I'd rather take him. So if burrows cools off, we can sub satan with the sedins.
Sedin-Sedin- Satan
Kes-Sundin-Demitra
Burrows-Wellwood-Roberts
Bernier-Johnson-Hordi/Pyatt/whoever you want
I think that's pretty solid. Roberts can probably get Welly going again too. And what if we got Vermette too.. put him in the 3rd and take wellwood out...haha
damn. the what if game....can't wait to see what will happen tomorrow

depth in scoring? we already have
D. Sedin, Sundin, Kesler, Demitra, plug: Wellwood + Bernier + and to a lesser extent Pyatt
depth in PKers? we already have
Kesler, Burrows, Pyatt & Johnson (These guys are more than enough and in addition, we don't need depth here as this is a special team situation. AV will only play key players)
depth in face offs? we already have
H. Sedin, Kesler, Sundin, Wellwood for the plugging line

SATAN WINS THE GAME FOR THE DEVILS IN AN ELECTFRYING SHOOTOUT! | And picking up BMO solves that issue? I don't know why but I like the lines I made IF we were able to pick them up. If not, I'll be more than happy to see Roberts with us.

I'm sure cutting their minutes would have an adverse effect instead. The position Kesler and Burrows find themselves in is a position they have fully earned. Doubt it they would've worked hard for it if it were contrary to what they wanted.

It's the playoffs...everyone is suppose to work hard.. We'll be fine in the PK especially that Lu is shaping back to his old self.. We stumbled a bit because of bad luck during hte losing streak.. Bmo will not all of a sudden make our PK better.. I see him going to lames
That's like saying ,we should get another #1 goalie cuz we don't want Lu working hard in the playoffs.

the sedins have always struggled in the playoffs 43 games played Henrik has 20 points and daniel has 18 points and there -9 and -8 its all good to have good regular seasons but the playoffs are a whole other ball game. we need somebody that can get things done under pressure and none of the canucks have proved themselves in the playoffs except for LU. and a couole others. I dont think we need to make a big splash at the deadline but I think we should make a smart move and pick up a proven veteran to help guide ethe younger players. Mark Recchi is on the block and Like mentioned above Roberts would be a nice pick up

Bob McKenzie on Team 1200 (Ottawa) during the pre-game show said that Vancouver is competing with the Flyers for JayBo
Edit: Now he just said Vancouver is the most likely Canadian team to make a big move.

Wouldn't it be more beneficial for us to find a sniper so we can have 3 solid lines?
