Cohen def got some good lines.
Guy is talented as fuck, proud to have his work on me, some of his more recent shit just shows the level he's elevating his game to.
In the next few years when i'm hopefully mortgage free, i've got some big plans! lol

Yeah I agree with HondaRacer, cohen is so talented. And he also is just a really cool guy overall, definitely had some good conversations with him. He charges $160 and works quick! Finished my outline in 2.5 hours, and I think my total time was around 12-13 hours

And about the leg hair, if you mean what to do before the appointment you can either shave it the night before or let him shave it so there isnt stubble. Dont do anything weird that will irritate the skin because hes going to be shoving a needle into it

Been itching to go up the rest of my leg for a while now haha. If you're really bothered by leg hair, then laser it all off as you can't do it after you get it. If is isn't an issue then just trim it or let him shave it. You can't risk getting a cut as you'll have to postpone the appointment until it's fully healed lol.
Mine was done in about 4 sessions of 3-4 hours each, and I'm 5'9''. I think a full leg sleeve would take at least 25-30+ hours

I'm about about 35hours into my leg sleeve and I still have a pretty big chunk thats still blank and i'm a short person too.
I think it would really depend on the style and the intricacy of the design. my sleeve is all black and gray realistic and its seems to take longer than traditional japanese style designs.

I had a 23 year old tattoo redone this afternoon. Almost all of the original red was faded away and this time around the fine red lines were replaced with thicker lines to lay in nicer. This was done in two hours using only an outline needle. |

I really like how the totem below is painted and was wondering if there are any tattooist in Van that might have a similar style. Looking at getting a monkey tattoo on half of my back (have a traditional Japanese style on the other half)

IMO just enjoy the painting for what it is, and find tattoo style art for a tattoo |

Curious on your guys thoughts of getting a free tattoo from an apprentice. There is a guy at strictly who's looking for body's and a girlfriend of mine went and got a free tattoo so many girlfriend has decided to hit him up as well. I'm still 50-50 cause personally dunno how good it will turn out, to me it just seems like its going to be a rushed piece. Anyways I'm curious as to what you guys think of the tattoo she got. Hopefully she won't mind me sharing if someone happens to Know her.
Edit: I always thought I had to upload pics onto my computer before I could share on here was always so lazy too. I'll post my ink at some point.

Probably won't be rushed as they will want to do a good job to show what they are capable of. The only problem is you don't really know what they are capable of until it's done. If it's something small that is of no importance to you then go for it, but if you want it a certain way then it is safer to go with someone experienced.

IMO i wouldnt want a free tattoo from an apprentice, i rather pay $$$ for work that i know 100% will be what is advertised.. the work is not bad but its not what i would want on my body, if ur gf is happy with it, who cares then? if u like it and like a free tattoo, go for it.

Think about it this way. The nice feeling of getting a deal will subside. The tattoo however will stay with you forever.
This goes the other way around too. Putting a monetary price on tattoo is hard for many people as it is still seen as something of a product. But consider that it is the only thing that you can take to your grave the price seems irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
Its not that you can't get great tattoo for free, or that great tattoo must be expensive. If you go into the tattoo thinking about what a great deal you are getting, you are complete missing the purpose of getting ink. Getting a deal doesn't matter when it comes to tattoo, You can't resell it and honestly it doesn't even come with bragging right, no one cares at all that you had a cheap tattoo just whether the tattoo looks cheap.
EDIT: as for the work, It OK, you can tell he is starting out, its not horrible but it not amazing. Ask yourself if its not free would you pay for it to be on your body forever? I think that should answer the question.

I'd only do it as a favour to the artist, and in that case only if it was a close friend. I don't care if it's free or not, I don't want a not-so-good tattoo on me.
