I'm pretty average size, average build. I don't know what it was but on the bone up top of my shoulder I thought I was going to pass out. Even sternum and collar bone didn't bother me.

Dude there are TONS.

My favourite series is gypsy gentleman. Only 2 episodes though. Episode 1 features Thomas Hooper and his work will blow your mind

Marcus Kuhn's - The Gypsy Gentleman - Home

Tattoo Age is a great series too, I highly recommend the Freddy Corbin episodes first, if you want to learn more about 'modern' american tattooing. Grime's episodes were great too

Tattoo Age | VICE

Others

Skin, 40 minute documentary:

Ed Hardy and Bob Roberts

Lots of little ones here:

Also, do whatever it takes to watch HORI SMOKU and learn about Sailor Jerry.

ribs was the worst for me

BeeBeeAhn 02-08-2012 09:14 PM

spine didn't hurt for me. felt really good actually.

ribs were ok, but it was the waist area and right over the hip bone that hurt like hell. I actually teared up while getting that part done.

Berzerker 02-08-2012 09:18 PM

Sternum hurt a lot. Top of shoulder hurt a lot. The little bone on the inside of your elbow hurt a lot. Bicep was the easiest one of all. One oddity though was when I was getting my forearm filled I could feel it in my rib cage. Nerves be crazy lol

Berz out.

The subject matter is neither here nor there.. to each their own.. But I think your artist was in over his head with that piece. Was this done in a studio?

You have posted more than a few tattoos here, and they are all better than this one

Agreed with berz on top of le shoulder. Hurts like bitch.
Google - bumping an old link from previous pages. Holy fack. Loving the detail with his work. Any artists in the area similar to this?

What about it stands out to you as not great quality? I will say, the picture does not do it justice at all. It (along with most of my skin), was super super super dry there, the day after the last of the scabs had fallen off.
In the end, I love it.

SkinnyPupp 02-11-2012 02:30 AM

It's not my place to criticize your tattoo, I am sorry. If you love it, that's all that matters :)

Recon604 02-11-2012 09:41 AM

planning to get my Chinese last name on the chest, I got quoted $200 for it from Strictly Tattoo, they use fusion ink

Timewav3zer0 02-11-2012 04:33 PM

^strictly is really good...thats where i got my piece done :)
