Frank @ Gastown hooked up a little Victory Glove on my birthday. Adding to my western traditional sleeve that I've been working on for way too long now. Filled in that spot nicely. Bonus being that it becomes visible when I'm holding a camera, too.
Be true to your crew. |

Looking at the japanese work list and I still don't know who to go to... Fuck lol I want a snake/cobra half sleeve with a hanya mask on my tricep, a buddha head on the inside of my top forearm also... Looking for traditional work but neo japanese for the buddha head.. Was looking at mayo from birthmarks tattoo, andrea from trigger happy, jesse from blackwaters, chad from santiary, and mark from funhouse... Any insights guys? I thought about strictly but his style for snake isn't what I'm looking for Posted via RS Mobile |

One session down. The lighthouse is a little weird in the photo but it looks good when I have my arm down normally. Pretty fucking stoked we got a lot done today. |

Top of the shoulder, and the lines on the hip were the worst for me. Inside of the arm is a very burning type pain for me, which doesn't bother me as much as on the bone type of pain. Its different for everyone, but the best advice I can give you is:
Its a tattoo, its gonna hurt, and it sure as fuck isn't gonna kill you. Set a goal for yourself as far as time you can sit for and be realistic. If its your first, shoot for 2.5 to 3 hours if its a big piece. Remember, the longer you sit for, the less sessions it takes. If you think you can't handle it, take 5, chug some water and have some 5 cent candies and sit back down and you'll be ready to go again. Eat a good meal before you go, tons of water and some snacks are key to a good session. Try not to be hungover. You will bleed like crazy, swell more, and in turn, it will hurt more, and you'll lose more ink.

Got my first tattoo inside my right bicep surprisingly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But as he got closer to my elbow and armpit it hurt a lot more wasn't too bad though.... Shading was killer though Posted via RS Mobile |

Not trying to sound "tough" but for me it hardly hurts anywhere, until I reach the 4 hour mark. After that, I am ready to tap... all my sessions have been 6-7 hours so far
The places that hurt the most at that point are the inside of the elbow, and inside of the wrist

i can't sit for that long, its more my A.D.D. than the pain that usually taps me out around 4. I couldn't have sat much longer on the ribs though and that was less than 3h. Although, the machine did NOT stop for that whole session. No little breaks, and I couldn't talk because my ribcage would move so much so we just said "alright, head down, lets fucking pound this out."

On here most people seem to say Jeff tams traditional along with strictly where on the tattoo FAQ it's says Jeff is non traditional. I'm not really a tattoo expert my any means so I'm just trying to figure out who's what. I got my Hannya mask at adrenaline so I'm just assuming my artist was non traditional (was done by Logan Howard). I feel like I should keep it traditional or non based on what I started with so that the two types aren't clashing. Posted via RS Mobile |

so ive been thinking of a few different ideas now and i'm really leaning towards a partial sleeve, shoulder to elbow of a scene from a picture i have, its a shot of my grandpa fishing on the dock at out cabin and the shot is kind of set back so you can see our Sauna that is on the lake as well as some tree's etc.
you think somthing like that would translate well into a tattoo? i'm asuming i'd be looking for somone who specicizes in realism?
