Always get more than one opinion. Don't mention that it couldn't be done by Shop XYZ by Artist ABC though. It might taint the opinion of the prospective artist.

threezero 02-15-2013 03:05 PM

i highly recommend jesse strong at steveston tattoo for scripts

whatitdew 02-15-2013 11:01 PM

Agreed. Mr. Strong does the best lettering I have ever seen in BC. He's not booked up forever and has decent rates. Plus he is one of a few artists who actually specialize in that style. Don't play yourself by going to anyone else.

Alpine50 02-17-2013 01:25 PM

Alright sounds good. Thanks for the feed back.

gypsy skull is sick. You are constantly getting tattooed don't you ever take a break lol. I can't stand always having a healing tattoo.

Nicotine 02-19-2013 06:11 PM

I do. I get a bit OCD when it comes to symmetry. Got this in '03 and wanted to get the exact same piece, except reversed shading, on my right inner bicep. Still deciding as I plan to do both sleeves in the next 3-5 years. Will see.

He seems super chill, really nice guy. Told him what I wanted to do and be seemed pretty stoked on the idea so I guess that's a good thing. Said if I was willing to sit it through it would probably take like 4-5 hrs. For all you guys that have sat for that long how is it? I'm getting this piece on my chest, first tattoo was inner bicep how's the pain difference? About the same or no?

I had a close to 4 he session on my chest I say it's not too bad but my stamina was wearing off at like 3 hr, I was also hungover. Rememebr to be well hydrated and well rest and don't be hungover. You will survive

4-5 is perfect for me ,remember it takes a good 20-30 mins for your pain killing endorphins to kick in and i find there good for 5 hours when it comes to me and it depends on what area im getting done. i found the chest not so bad but im a big guy with lots of meat!!

Yup 4-5 hours is about my limit too. All my sessions have been over that though, including my first one which was like 8 hours with a couple breaks :heckno:
