I got into a car accident the day before my 3rd session on my first sleeve. I ended up in the hospital and my arm was so swollen from the airbag I couldn't move it at the elbow, so I got my artist to work only up on my shoulder. If he wasn't a good friend of mine he said theres no way he would have done it, but I insisted so much. I only sat for an hour I think though. Shouldn't have even bothered but I was so dead set on it. Not exactly the same, but thought it was kind of a funny/stupid story that related.

is one of his work, not much posted up and all of his old links are gone :\

Just went through a 3 hour session of the ribs. That was insanely painful.
Had work done on chest/shoulder/back before and that doesn't even compare pain wise.

Everyones got sick pieces in this thread!
Please help out a BCIT student and do a survey about tattoo/tattoo removals?
your guys insight would be most valuable since you guys are all inked!
thanks so much! http://snapsurvey.bcit.ca/snapwebhos...k=136381316318

I keep coming into this thread and going, "Damn I want to get something done." My only problem is finding something I either like enough, or that has some sort of meaning... I've got a small chest one figured out, but I eventually want to get a half sleeve done :/

The more time and though u put into your tattoo the more satisfy you will be with it in the long ran. Take you time, make sure you also spent time hunting for a good artist that does the style you like too. Too many people put so much time and effort into "designing" their tattoo when they could have had a better result seeking out an artist that you like and that does good work and just give them a general idea and let him/her ran with it.

Couldn't be more true.

That's some serious hipster shit man. :lol

white rocket 03-27-2013 07:59 PM

definitely not my style at all but I can dig on the uniqueness. Not your average artwork for sure.

dlo 03-27-2013 08:11 PM

you know its hipster shit when the original hipster himself calls it "serious hipster shit man"

have been looking into getting my first tattoo for quite some time now - have been a huge fan of skulls/grim reaper ever since i was a child. something similar to the style of jeremiah barba - Jeremiah Barba - Professional Tattoo Artist of the Dark Art

have looked through the old posts, but haven't found one who does skulls to my liking. can anyone point a tattoo noob in the right direction?

thanks!

Talk about tattoos that don't age well... But to each their own :D

That's the first thing that came to mind.

Tattoos with so many straight lines are very harsh, and won't stay that clean and straight for long...

But different strokes for different folks.

Not just that - the designs themselves are the opposite of 'timeless'. Think along the likes of barbed wire or tribal bands... You can put a date on them - the hipster movement of the 2010's.

In 30 years these will be worn by dudes who went through a left winged/libertarian atheist artsy iphone using phase that they probably eventually grew out of once they got a career and family going ;)

(ps that was just a joke generalization, don't be mad)
