Great pics everyone inspires me to hit the trails how do u think a 06 rav4 v6 would do for the job. Its the only 4x4 i can get my hands on. Somehow i dont think my civic could do some of those things.

OffroadZuki 11-06-2008 06:02 PM

Ad: depends on what you're looking to tackle...it should do pretty well with logging roads, dirt trails, etc...I'd be scared on scratching the paint on something that new ;)

1990TSI 11-07-2008 11:47 AM

Ah I should take some pics of mine for this thread. just picked up my 3rd zuki, a 97 sidekick sport 4 door auto haha.

stock for now, excpet I found some 245/75/16s at work that I through on for some clearence. Looking at the big lift from rocky road. only $1000 shipped here and is the best lift available without SAS. also the only one that fits the 'sport' model whateve that means haha.

OffroadZuki 11-11-2008 10:16 AM

*sniff* you sold your Sammy, then? :( Yeah get some pics of the 4dr up here...

stewie 11-16-2008 11:12 AM

nice Exploder...I almost bought a '94 2dr sport 5spd 4x4, but the seller was a dink...in hindsight I'm really happy 'cuz I love the Zuki's gas mileage...but...I've always liked the look of that generation Explorers...any pics of it in action?

Tegra_Devil 12-14-2008 02:15 AM

lol, awd is not needed in vancouver....im north alberta born...i know what a real snowfall is hehehe...but it will be somewhat nicer for the trips on the coquihalla this season...

Ah... yeah same... Hinton born, Prince Rupert ex-pat myself; but its definitely nice to have here, where the municipality shits the bed so bad at 6 cm than even public transit collapses.

Plus, having a 4WD in the winter means snowbound off-roading!

Tegra_Devil 12-14-2008 07:09 PM

fair enough...it will be nice to get outa the way of people sliding into me hehehe

and some adventurous driving

I never been off roading, but so far this little car handles the snow really well.
and that's the closest to off roading experience I have :)
