| My 2005 Honda Jazz *Pics - 56K warning!*
Hey folks,
Just thought I'd share a a little something with the community. I know, yes, it's a scooter, but hey, it gets me from point A to point B, fast, fun, cheap, and reliably.
Story behind this scooter - I was looking to get around quick and fast. I like to head down to SoMa on the weekends for a nice cup of coffee or a routine haircut at Jerry's on Main and Kingsway, or a stroll down Little Italy and Yaletown. It didn't make much sense to take the MR2 out in so much stop'n'go traffic and with all the construction going on, it sucks. I looked on Craigslist for a few days and ran into this Jazz going for $1800. Called the guy up, took a look at it, offered him $1500 and I took her home. Interesting story is that this scooter was a write-off/rebuilt status according to ICBC. Original owner (female) put the scooter onto its kickstand on grass and it rained, the thing fell over and the front and sidecowls cracked. She claimed insurance so ICBC wrote it off because the cost of the cowls costed too much. A bus driver found it at the junk yard and replaced the cowls. As you can see, the side cowls are white which are from a 2002 Jazz. The original cowls should have been red. The thing runs fine and rides as straight as an arrow. I saw no real flaws with it so I brought her home.
Pictures were taking earlier tonight at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown at Pacific & Davie. Big shoutout goes to GFunk for the amazing photos.
Say hello to: Caroline!
*woof!*
Kick it!

No, it has an electrical starter. That kickstart photo was for photographic purposes.
Insurance cost me $400 a year.

I think GFunk would be best at answering the camera question but if I recall, he uses a Nikon D50 dSLR.

Wow, that scooter has character. I'm not sure if it's the photography or not, but it seems to be alive. I can see someone falling in love with it. The scratches and paint and ...... what the hell? Am I getting in touch with my feminine side or something????
BTW, nice helmet and British Air Force looking decal. Gotta love it.

Well, scooters are a part of daily life in most parts of Asia and Europe, just not so much here. Everybody in North America is into fast cars with loads of torque and crotch rockets that go to 0-60 in less than 5 seconds or whatever.
I felt that a scooter should be used for its purpose and that's to transport you from A to B but it's also a lifestyle and culture. Prior to owning the Jazz, I owned a Vespa P200E and a Yamaha Vino. I still dig the European style and scooter culture hence why I bought this rebuilt-status of a scooter. I named it Caroline because it reminded me of a girl whom I went to school with and I'm sure you've figured it out - she was used and abused, but so damn fine, she'd be the trophy girlfriend.
I picked up the helmet at Vespa Vancouver (Now the Urban Wasp) and the British Roundel stickers on eBay.

Hey guys, if you actually took the time to read my posts, they would've answered your questions. ww? - They're Nudie Regular Ralf and photos were taken at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown. Drift Monkey - I got the helmet at Vespa Vancouver Now the Urban Wasp cakeTECH - I tried to remove the limiter but failed miserably. death_blossom helped me out at his place but it looks like the previous owner tried to do the same, however, the one of the bolts were stripped so I didn't want to further strip it.

Yes, I owned a 2006 Yamaha Vino 49cc and a 1983 Vespa P200E prior to getting this.
