what email settings do you guys use?
does automatic retreival result in lots of data? because i'm only retreiving headers (which are txt)
how to you set it such that ie. in gmail, whichever you read on your e71 is considered read in your inbox on a pc?
also, any good 3rd party RSS feed reader etc.?
good fast (even wap) sites to check local movie times?
weather?
finally, anyone with a (mini) usb car charger? i was sold one like that but i'm guessing it charges slower than one with a typical power connector
GPS on this thing sux, luckily there are actual units for this job

There's a built-in RSS reader. For email, you can only have two accounts set up for auto retrieval at a time. It's not huge in terms of data usage. As for having a message read on both the phone and your inbox, I think you need to set it up with IMAP. For Gmail accounts that's automatic I think.

i am glad the msn live mail works prefectly as as one of the 2 email accounts in the built-in mail client.
gps on e71 actually locked on faster than my n95. I found the gps in google map locks on faster than Nokia Map. it also gives out approximate location according to the wifi ip address. pretty neat.

The E71 has a real GPS chip, albeit a weak one. The N95 has aGPS only. |

N95 Does have a GPS Chip, a SiRF II chip which sucks ass.

| hmm... oh well, after reading more, not it't not the triangulation of the cellphone tower. It's the location of the tower you are currently connected.
That's even better i guess. if there's no wifi around, it can still point out where you are. now only if I can buffer up the google map information...

I remember the debeut of the "my location" feature and the video said that it uses triangulation. its just a "primative" gps. Rather than using the ensemble of time intervals of the signals from the sattelights to calculate the position, it just gives a raw approximation using the towers. Youre not connected just to one tower at a time.

Youre not connected just to one tower at a time. | I just view the video linked directly from google. It says it when you dont have gps, it tells the approximate location by the tower that you are communicating with. but at least you are right on the cell phone signal instead of IP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6gqipmbcok |

has anyone tried route66? apparently it's quite popular with n95 users, b/c it can use just the gps and no data
can't find any cracked versions online that will work with the e71 one though, and the newest version "mobile 8" is listed as $149US lol
btw, u guys all use seven for push?

OK, I'm gonna flip. There is a red one apparently and Rogers will probably get it. S:LDGKJBLKJSDLKAJWRLAKSTGH....
