For some E71 users v200.21.118 FW has been released if some of you haven't updated yet. Some guy on HoFo says he lost his silent camera function. Oh no. |

Has anyone here managed to update their FW to v200.21.118? I have a E71-1 and the latest firmware that I can find using my Software updater is v110. |
It depends on your product code and region. Not all E71 owners will be allowed to update currently. |
Anyone have some interesting apps? I've sifted through some of the hofo shit, but I'd like to see what people have on RS. This is what I have (I have a hacked phone): SMS MMS Diary JB Taskman FS Caller S-Tris 2 R.Bubbles Solitaries RT GR Slick cCalcPro Smart Connect Magic Key Mini Opera Quick Office 6.0 Handy Profiles, Calender, Alarm, and Clock. |
when i saw european i thought i'd wait 'cause i need chinese but then it says: "- One key input method switch for China language" ??? after i flash to new firmware do i have to do the whole hellocarbide crap again? |
The new firmware is not hackable. As for your other question, I have no idea. |
I'm planing to sign a contract with roger and get the e71 does the gps and wifi still work on the phone? and what else is locked cuz its branded to roger? |

This only applies to product codes already having the Chinese input method. |
I'm running garmin mobile xp on my E71 right now because I don't have a dataplan. I just updated my phone to v200.21.118 and now its asking me for an internet access point. Does anyone know if the new FW will make it so it'll cost me data charge for the GPS using garmin? |
^If you JUST updated, your GPS data settings could be using A-GPS. Go into the "GPS Data" app, Options->Positioning Settings-> Uncheck Assisted GPS and Network Based and check Integrated GPS. This way, it wont ask you for access points when using GPS. On another note with the new firmware.. -The SHIFT doesnt act like a proper shift button anymore!! I used to be able to hold SHIFT and type in caps but now, holding shift only makes the first letter of what your typing caps. And I cant hit shift twice to do CAPSLOCK anymore because hitting it twice is the "One key input switch method of Chinese Input". -The larger sized symbols when you hit "CTRL" when youre typing a message is more of an eyesore. I liked it how it was before. -Internet Radio is pretty cool, except the manual add of internet stations dont work most of the time. I got NEWS1130 and AM980 to work only ONCE and after that, it keeps saying "Invalid Address". -My firmware finally has the QuickContact search option so i'm pretty happy about that. |
^ Did/Do you have the silent camera option now? |
^Didnt have it before, dont have it now. |

HandyShell is a very nice program too, it's basically a shell that replaces the s60 active standy screen here's a link to download pretty much all the "Handy" programs http://www.dotsis.com/mobile_phone/s...d.php?t=124450 |
Does anyone else have trouble locking on to the satellite when using GPS with FW v200? Ever since the update my GPS has hard time locking on. |
^ GPS locking is the exact same as it was before for me. Alot better than the N95, but nothing spectacular. A lot of people claimed that it supposedly locks faster though. Try checking the "GPS Data" options to see if you have the correct positioning methods enabled. On another note.. Surfing on HoFo and I found this: http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/441/img2715uh7.jpg http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/5728/img2717np1.jpg http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/3824/img2719xf3.jpg Quote:

Where are the "Edit Post" and "Quote" buttons..? Quote:
Tested it with the E71, works perfectly! Goto Messaging-> Email -> Options-> New mailbox: -Allow connection to network. -Select access point. Type in email address. Type in password. -Select POP3/IMAP4 Mailbox Type: POP3 Incoming Mail Server: pop3.live.com Security: SSL/TLS Outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com Security: SSL/TLS Port: Default (465) |
LOL people still use Hotmail? And ouch...those pics make me sad. :( |
^I have to! Everyone just sends emails to me through Windows Live Messenger despite me telling them to send it to my other email, so I have to keep constantly checking it.. Ill make you even sadder! http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/reso...2007/12/n2.jpg |
