Im not sure if rogers it are you asking about the NAM a friend of mine is in the cell phone buisness and other versions are being released in august. There are E71-1 E71-2 E71-3
All with different bands

iChiBahN 07-08-2008 02:29 AM

you dont' need a friend that's in the 'cell phone business' to tell u that information.

ppl over at hofo is saying that the NAM version will be released in August 30th.

cspec 07-08-2008 08:39 AM

what's usually the difference between the euro version and the nam version?

jeff19 07-08-2008 10:01 AM

Euro version means you can use 3g in europe, but not in North america. NAM version means 3g works here in canada/states.

jeff19 07-08-2008 10:03 AM

btw, i seem to be having a problem with searching for contacts on the home screen, as in enetering a contact's name, and it's supposed to suggest matching contacts? my e71 dusnt show anything when im typing on the home screen. Anyone having the same problem?

...as well as no 3G in Europe/Asia, right?

Other than that the two should be the same.

they can't just know it's coming out then, there's no pattern to follow.

All users with the E71-1 are in the exact dilemma you're in as well Its just the firmware, and I'm sure Nokia will probably fix this issue in the next update. I've heard from other HoFo members, so I'm probably going to wait out as well. (or sexyness E66! Auto-rotate is soooo in ;) )

cspec 07-11-2008 05:05 PM

do you find the keyboard is hard to use?

jeff19 07-11-2008 05:55 PM

nope. one of the best qwerty keyboards ive ever used. the keys were a lot smaller than i thought it would b at first, but after a few hours of usage u get used to it. tactile feedback is just amazing lol

Tim Budong 07-12-2008 06:25 PM

if possible
this phone...us version with 6gb promo data=secks and worth every damn penny

triplexcel 07-13-2008 03:37 PM

how is the keyboard? is it rubbery like the e61i? or is it like the blackberries?

Simplex123 07-13-2008 04:49 PM

okay now that the e71's out, where's the e66... = =

so are there any actual stores with the e71 yet? cuz i don't know what colour i should get. :/

d.biring 07-14-2008 12:39 PM

The E71 has the best keyboard i've ever used.

cspec 07-16-2008 11:16 AM

i just purchased one, i wouldn't say it's the best, but it's pretty good.
it's just the keys are rather small, but the auto-correction thing is pretty neat, much like the iphone so it fixes if you type rather fast

!Yaminashi 07-16-2008 12:11 PM

Ok ok, so what apps are available?
The screen res is rather odd isnt it?
320 x 320?
