Last I checked, a new E71 through Canadian online stores was around $350-$450 or so. |
There is a red E71, but it's the same as the white one, but red trim. Like mine. Replace the black pieces of mine with the light silver and you've got the official red one. |
The red one still isn't available in NA ... awwww!!! If I wait too long, I might just move to the E55 |
My bad blue is the plastic shit. but the price in vietnam is more expensive than in Canada. Same like I phone etc.. Whats the price of the E75? The annoying thing here is that no store will sell me the sleeve that came with the phone. After 6 months its looking a bit old. |
Does anyones e71 shut off randomly in the middle of phone calls? mine does.. and does the menu looked messed up sometimes? like missing letters or borders missing? is there new firm ware out? |

from 08-06-2008 RM-357 and mine is an e71-2 aswell.. what the hell.. where do i upgrade? |
Look up Nokia Software Updater (a.k.a. NSU) in Google to download the latest version (updating from within the program didn't work for me..weird). Charge up your phone, back it up from within PC Suite, note what you have installed as everything will be wiped, do a hard reset (http://www.mobilecastle.biz/mobiles/...html#post60347), run NSU, update, do one more hard reset, re-sync only the Contacts and Messages, reinstall apps, rejoice. |
okay i tried searching this thread already with no luck.. so plz dont spaz if i dont feel like looking thru every single comment on this 15 paged thread x]: does the e71-2 works in japan and or taiwan? |
lawl. i just realized my question didnt provide much. let me detail it. does the e71-2 work in japan and or taiwan for DAILING purposes? i dont care about internet etc etc. i just want to be able to call my bro's japan cellphone in japan, my dads taiwan cellphone in taiwan, AND call home in vancouver. |
If it's unlocked, pop in any SIM or USIM and you're golden in HK and Taiwan. Not Japan, they don't have GSM and it'll only work on UMTS/HSDPA there, and the E71-2 has the wrong frequencies. |
^- i guess i'll just phone card in japan then. thanks alot! =] |
You're welcome. I just fixed my E71 as I posted hahaha Took it apart, fiddled with the housing fitment, then put the front plate back on. And realize I forgot a screw inside NOOOO FUUUU :haha: |
Can the E71 display video podcasts? |
^ I think so, with the proper program. Here's my guide to updrading to the v300 firmware for the E71-2, as the proper solution doesn't work yet. -_- http://moov4.net/node/83 |
cheap nokia E71? found this deal while browsing around. Maybe some of you want one. http://www.buy.com/prod/nokia-e71-un...208270177.html |
I've seen it around $289 from newegg in the past. |

I cant get my gps to locate any signals unless i go on internet or gprs? anyone here have the same problem? |
That's not a problem. That's reality. Depending on where you are, it might be harder to catch a signal. Too many buildings, indoors...forget about it. Also, it does need to warm up. |
Hey all, my E71 NAM keeps on restarting itself every now and then for absolutely no reason. Anyone knows the solution to this? |
