Treo 680 to E71
 

I'm trying to help my boss transfer all his data from his Treo 680 to his Nokia E71. Anyone know whats the best way to do it? I'm not familiar with Palm and Symbian OS. Any help would be great. He's mainly concerned about all his calander entries. Could it be a simple sync the palm to outlook, then resync the outlook to the E71?

Yup, it's that simple. Palm to Outlook then Outlook to E71. Best way to do it.

e71 phone memory problem
 

hey guys,

i seem to b having a problem with my e71.

its showing that ive used up 109 mb of the 119 total memory. but when i scroll down the memory details, i cant seem to find anything thats using up 109 mb. anyone encountered the same problem bfore? are there any hidden files or anything i should b aware of??
im trying to free up som memory cuz i got to the point where i couldnt send txts cuz of full phone memory...

System files take up about 90MBs on the C: drive.
If you have downloaded other 3rd party apps, the config files and files associated will be there as well. Download X-Plore and turn caps off to see the details of the apps.

having NOKIA E71 trouble....
 

so i just picked up brand new e71 from simstar... and....:(

played with it for the day when the memory card was empty and everything worked fine... but once i loaded my music and pics, a message saying "remove memory card then press ok" keeps popping up. the message only pops up when it is in my pocket and when its in motion. it works perfectly fine when held still.
ive tried a different memory card, master reset but no luck.
seems to me theres something wrong with the memory card slot?!?!

is there anything i can try before bringing it back?
im from vic, so i rather not make the trip over unless i have to.

format the memory card, reset the phone settings, and see if the msg still shows up. if it still dusnt work, it's prolly a problem with the fone.

The message shows up when the card is ejected. Go to Tools>>Memory>>Options>>Remove memory card, remove the card, press OK, then put it back in. If that or what jeff19 suggested doesn't fix it, something might be wrong with either the card or the card slot.

Anyone else having issues where using the browser a lot or on fairly demanding pages (think: RS) crashes the phone? I've had that happen a few times already. Nothing a quick (well, not so quick actually) reboot won't fix, but I really want a firmware update posthaste! :(

Also, I want my phone to be red. Where the heck is that dummy phone I bought in the hope that I could use it as a housing? :lol

im planning to get an E66 and it doesnt seem like fido is going to carry it, so ill get it unlocked like the usual i guess = .=;

Nothing a firmware update won't fix. Pros waaaay outweigh the cons at the moment, and I don't care what Steel Fido carries, as I'll paint mine. Eventually. Hopefully. :p

Which firmware do you have on your E71?
Does it have advance-contacts or whatever; ..err, the thing where you type in the contact name at standby?
