straight up ask her what her motives are before agreeing to do anything with her. Does she want to hang out because she just wants someone there? or does she want to hang out because she feels that she did something wrong and wants to fix things with you? The way i see it, she just misses you, you're just an option to her until shes finds that 'better person'. Talking casually is ok, just dont invest emotions into it. If you cant do that, then it's probably best to stay as far away as you can.

It's really what you want to invest.. you could get hurt again, very possible.
To me, I had to ask myself.. "Is she worth getting hurt again?" I broke up with my gf by saying some trust-breaking (her point of view) things, and now looking back I should've eased into it instead of waiting and letting it explode.
She could see you as a "filler" for now, or she could feel "guilty" and her conscience is bothering her, and she feels she needs to make things right. Or she could be like me... knowing that hey "I fucked up, I want to be friends, and I want to mend things back into a relationship.. because I know that I lost something that was really good, and all I want is it back.."
Again man, the question you have to ask yourself is...
"Is she worth getting hurt again?"
Personally I'd give her a shot, but I wouldn't "treat her like a princess" again. Just be friends and take it slow.. then if nothing happens, you won't be too emotionally attached and it'll hurt less if there is that hurt.
