It really is a horrible feeling that the only activity my phone gets is errand or buy/sell related, but basically nothing from friends.

i know that feel bro .. i've been so damn busy with school+work+gym+girlfriend+family that my old buddies just almost completely stopped calling me out 'cause i kept on rejecting them before :alone:
i missed it back in the day where i didn't have to take up these responsibilities yet, and just chilled
fuck growing up

just thought this would be relevant in here...

You want friends ? go out and meet ppl and make friends. We were all strangers at one point...how do you think people became friends ? Don't tell me work keeps you away from making friends. if you want friends more then you want that job, then find a diff job that has people your age. I know its simple to say it, but it's also simple to say "hi" to someone and go from there, specially if it's someone you already work with! It seems that "horrible feeling" isn't so horrible after all is said and done, or else you'd do something about it. you want friends ? then you need to change something in your routine that will allow you to do so, nothing is going to come to you.

And on such a sour note...

stupid itchy throat needs to go away cus i don't wanna get sick :okay:

No abrasion taken, anything helps :concentrate:. Itchy throat, try warm water with honey.

I've tried the "get out there and meet people" deal through a couple of the RS meets, but nothing really came of those (since I usually have to re-introduce myself), and the club scene isn't my thing. If I was to just randomly say "Hi" to someone, I'd come off as a strong creeper (I kinda do seem awkward to a lot of people), and if I change jobs, I'd basically sacrifice everything I paid and worked for to get to where I am now. It's discouraging to try to ask my old friends to meet up either, considering the last time anyone asked me to go do something that wasn't planned weeks in advance was over two years ago.

Just start chatting up with random people you'll be surprised how open some people are. Who knows maybe one thing will lead to another but the first step is initiating it.

It is hard to try to hangout with your old friends, I've been there as well and it sucks. They develop other friends as well and do other things so you should too. Especially when you try to bring up something really funny from a long time ago they'll probably stare at you going :suspicious:. Maybe if you have time take up a hobby that wack jobs don't like.

Becoming forgetful, life's becoming cluttered.

Gotta start cleaning up and maybe my mind will get organized too.

How is it possible that you could lose everything from doing nothing?

don't know the story, but sometimes doing nothing is worse than doing something

muteki 07-09-2012 12:37 PM

Because by doing nothing sometimes shows that you've given up and don't want to bother... Sometimes..

yogenfruz 07-09-2012 12:47 PM

Sometimes I feel like being comfortable with not talking to anyone for days is a real hurdle between us. You want frequent communication, I can go days without it and not be phased..

tiger_handheld 07-09-2012 03:12 PM

Fight for what you rightfully deserve for the amount of work you put in.

Nanaki 07-09-2012 05:36 PM

to hit it, or not to hit it..... :concentrate:
