You want friends ? go out and meet ppl and make friends. We were all strangers at one point...how do you think people became friends ? Don't tell me work keeps you away from making friends. if you want friends more then you want that job, then find a diff job that has people your age. I know its simple to say it, but it's also simple to say "hi" to someone and go from there, specially if it's someone you already work with! It seems that "horrible feeling" isn't so horrible after all is said and done, or else you'd do something about it. you want friends ? then you need to change something in your routine that will allow you to do so, nothing is going to come to you.
And on such a sour note...
stupid itchy throat needs to go away cus i don't wanna get sick :okay: | No abrasion taken, anything helps :concentrate:. Itchy throat, try warm water with honey.
I've tried the "get out there and meet people" deal through a couple of the RS meets, but nothing really came of those (since I usually have to re-introduce myself), and the club scene isn't my thing. If I was to just randomly say "Hi" to someone, I'd come off as a strong creeper (I kinda do seem awkward to a lot of people), and if I change jobs, I'd basically sacrifice everything I paid and worked for to get to where I am now. It's discouraging to try to ask my old friends to meet up either, considering the last time anyone asked me to go do something that wasn't planned weeks in advance was over two years ago. |
