I TEXTED YOU BACK IN THE SAME MINUTE WTF YOU REPLY LIKE 2 HOURS LATER | I'm pretty sure all of us have gone through the same situation as you. I felt the same as you, I just had the urge to hold and watch my phone til that text arrived. And while you're waiting, you're just pondering what the hell she's doing, is she okay, am I talking too much or being annoying. You have no idea how blinding loving someone can be. You'd sacrifice anything; your time, your friends and must I say sometimes even your future.
I admit that I've been one of those people too. And some of the reasons why I did it was because:
-Don't know what to say in response to the question you asked or just don't know what to say in general
-Just plain annoying and only reply back with single worded messages
-Boring conversation
-Legitly busy with something but usually I tell them beforehand, don't know about other people
-Messages that can be better communicated through calls; when they type too much and you don't have a clue what they're talking about.
Ever since then, I learnt my lesson and I lay my phone out pretty often. I only take it out of my pocket when I need to. I'm starting to find the "second to second" texting quite annoying and distracting especially when people continuously do it for a couple of hours.
I understand that it's like a manner thing; to avoid people waiting, but hard to say in today's society, especially for some girls. They think they have the power/advantage when they have people chasing after them. You have no idea how many times I've heard the line "I don't believe in marriage" from girls.
You can never tell what other people are thinking about, that's why there's always a risk when you try to get to know someone and submerge into their inner self. You may have found the love of your life, or just being played with; no one knows accept the person themselves. |
