How do you tell an oblivious girl you asked out on a date, that the date is actually a date, without explicitly straight up telling her it's a date?

Or should I just straight up tell her "it's a date" and "please dress up because I'm taking you someplace nice"?

Date went very well. Just a romantic, semi-casual get-to-know-one-another kind of date. Took her to Zefferelli's and then to Cheesecake etc.

I actually ended up dressing up in a business-casual look, so I for sure got the message across.

I paid for the dinner, she paid for dessert. She even paid for parking without me even asking! She's a keeper :fullofwin:

She's the conservative type, so I didn't expect anything on the first date. We're pretty much on track to being official, so I'm not going to worry much and I can take it slow and steady. No hug/kiss when I dropped her back home, wasn't expecting so that would've been a surprise, but she texted me when I got home saying thanks for everything, it was really romantic. We've only known each other for less than a week, so this is a fantastic start :thumbs:

I've never believed in fate, but maybe all of this wasn't my imagination since the very start.
This situation seems almost unrealistic and movie-like...
To meet someone for the very first time and click just like that seems almost silly and one-sided. But to find out that they felt the same way throughout the entire time is simply surreal.

Great to hear. I went thru something similar but second and 3rd date was crap. girl was an introvert and doens't know how to flirt and showed no signs of interest but yet we'll hang out. I then friendzoned her, but I'll keep her as a cool friend until she figures out what's going on.
