gf is going through difficult times with her friends' parents giving her mum shit about not "caring" enough and putting "limitations" on her and letting her do as she pleases i.e. having a boyfriend. Not only do they consistently keep asking her about our relationship together and what we've done, wanting to dig up details, they keep comparing her to their own sons and daughters. It's sad because there's nothing I can do about it and it's driving her crazy, and myself included. We're planning on going on a trip together this summer and once again her friends' parents are saying it'll be unsafe, and she should control her daughter. Not that her mum will actually listen to the bickering, but it's still annoying for her to have to deal with all this garbage from her friends' parents.
Jesus fuck mind your own business. Asian parents, is there really nothing better for you to do than comparing your sons and daughters from grades to dick/tit sizes?
Although I'm Asian, I'm glad my parents don't set/have never set any unreasonable limitations on what I can and cannot do. I've been brought up with a "common-sense first" and "you're responsible for your own actions" kind of way, and still live by that, my girlfriend as well, so it's quite agitating when people try and interfere with our relationship and apply pre-existing values regarding the "ideal" way to act on us.

You should join them in a "family" lunch or something when the friend is there.
and then its your time to shine; you have to impress the shit out of them and make them like you. Being on your best behavior wont cut it.
You have to make them like you; make them love you.
They wanna talk about Chinese new years tradition, you have to wow them with all the little traditions you know.
They wanna talk about investing, you talk about investing.
and of course table manners

This will require a lot of premeditated homework, but there is nothing to loose.
It will also show your GF that you care so much about her. you not only want her to like you, but you also want the people around her to like you because that will make her life more happy and complete.
How did I come up with such a plan? My Cousin was a bit of a slut and brought all her BFs to family dinners
and this one guy did something similar and it wowed me and the family.
It was also the guy that stayed with her the longest.

^ one hting i learned also when it comes to dating is to always take good care of their parents. Impress them, treat them with kindness and be overall respectful.
I'm dating a lot of rich girls, family owns billions, IPO companies, government officials etc, and where I don't have any means of money to their level, being courteous, well mannered and just being super respectful to their parents, really earned me a place in their hearts.
just like when you date a girl, the ONLY person you need to treat really well or impress is her best friend.
